Notre Dame game thoughts

lol @ NDirsh cat saying that their qb will be the best qb we've seen all season... That Syracuse qb was pretty good and he almost left the game on "a framework of two poles with a long piece of canvas slung between them, used for carrying sick, injured, or dead people"

i should have worded that better, the most talented QB, not the best (yet).

The most talented running QB maybe. Not even close if we're talking about arm talent.

Anyone have any specific questions about the team i can try and answer?

What was the hottest temperature at game time that ND has played in this year?

The reason it is relevant is that most likely it will be in the high 70s at game time with high humidity. I assume ND is accustomed to playing in 50ish degree weather, especially in the last month or so. As a result, ND could start to wear down come late third quarter / early fourth quarter.

The Miami heat could be good for a 7 point advantage.

It was warm early. We had 70s for the first 2 games. It was almost 90 for the MSU game, but it has been much chillier for the last few. Could be significant. I think this is the best conditioned team ND has had in awhile, but thats a big change.

im ok with disagreeing on that. I see huge potential in his ability as a thrower, but not everyone does.

any chance we flip NDIrish before the game? It would save you the agony of defeat as you sound like a good guy but a bit confused as to where your heart really lies.

Cane wins are very very enjoyable and we have many coming in the next several years.

Hey guys, i have been trying to start a thread, but it hasn't been released yet, so i'll go ahead and comment in here. ND fan (obviously), just looking to talk a little football, not here to troll, argue, etc. Just get too annoyed with ND boards, but love talking some football. I do this for all of ND's bigger games. Ill leave if everyone wants, but would like to stay and get some facts on Miami and share what i know (or think i know) about ND. ill give honest opinions of good and bad of ND and do my best to answer any questions you have. Let me know what you think.

Crazy pumped for this game, huge for both teams. Obviously Miami has more to play for after ND regardless, but with the playoffs as a goal, both need to win to help secure that (although Miami could lose and still possibly make it).

So basically, before i waste a bunch of time typing up stuff, am i welcomed?

Well, when Miami TAKES AWAY the Fighting Irish's ' run game, ' then you, and your Celt kin, can start whining, crying, moaning and bytching and what not. hUh. Because ND hasn't faced a pass DEFENSE as Miami's this season! dUh.

haha, nah your not gonna flip me. Its hard sometimes being a Notre Dame fan, not gonna lie, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Appreciate the offer though.

Obviously wimbush came back in and played. The rb had exams and was tired and not feeling well from a tough week. Lol

Wimbush has been banged up on and off all year unfortunately, still needs to learn to take a hit like a QB

I watch football 12-12 every Saturday. Nobody & I mean nobody hits the QB like Miami. I think this is the biggest advantage we have. I think Wimbush is in for the shock of his lifetime. Plus his dumb comments don’t help when your looking across at 10 NFL players with 4-5 coming off the bench but I guess the kid has stones.

That or dumb as F***

Hes far from dumb.

He's probably not dumb, but he's definitely STUPID for opening his big mouth and all that. Nevertheless, I like seeing that blunt, frank, confident lip smacking from a ND player. Because after all, the Fighting Irish are on top of the college football realm for NOW. But come midnight your boy Kelly probably will BLAME some of his key players for the SHOCKING lost to Miami!:sanford:

ok - dont really plan on whining, crying, etc. Can handle a loss if that is indeed the way the game plays out. Question is, can you? lol. What would it take for ND to get some respect from Miami? ND hasn't faced a pass defense like this all season, Miami hasn't faced a run offense like this, etc etc etc. Should equal out to a great game. Im excited to see the coaches dueling in this one, each call mattering so much, i want a game so good i gotta re watch it on sunday.

Last week all I did was harp on stats. Not this week. The team showed me they have another gear. If Our team plays with the same intensity we played vs VT (minus the turnovers). Sit back, relax, and watch a classic. Miami 23-20.

If Miami limits the turnovers the game will be another DOUBLE-DIGIT VICTORY margin in Miami's favor! No ifs, buts or hUh.

i get using his comments as motivation, but im a fairly reserved person and i don't think what he said was that bad. I mean wouldn't you want your team's leader to talk like that? To have that confidence? He probably went a little far, but nothing crazy. Yeah we are up there, for now, hopefully we can stay there. But i've never felt like Kelly has thrown anyone under the bus. He has made some honest comments that were easy to take out of contents and made to look much worse then they were, but if u listen to the entire conversation they were usually much more fitting. And before we get into 10 pages of kelly bashing, there has only ever been 1 play to come back and speak bad of kelly, and that included player who were dismissed, went pro, transferred or were just done with football, only 1 (Zaier who was crying because he wasn't playing). So i think if there really was a problem with him throwing kids under the bus, you would see more of it. Plus, the player who he supposedly threw under the pass last year was the first one to pick up kelly to celebrate the MSU win, so... obviously he heard the entire script.

I think mark richt is a heck of a coach who didn't deserve to be fired from Georgia. He is def. top 10 in the country

i am impressed that i have an equal number of up votes and down votes (12 each). Also, 14 people bothered to visit my page!

Don't get it twisted. I don't think any reasonable canes fans expect anything less than a VERY tough outing

first year player, been sitting running scout team for 2 years. He needs to get better in his timing and game experience, which has continued to develop through the season. He has shown his skills, big arm, throws a pretty ball, makes the right reads, just needs to adjust his timing.
