Notre Dame game thoughts

Don't turn the ball over, and force the QB to pass while rolling out with a limp. Last year was close with their QB being NFL caliber, no reason not to win by ten.

Hey guys, i have been trying to start a thread, but it hasn't been released yet, so i'll go ahead and comment in here. ND fan (obviously), just looking to talk a little football, not here to troll, argue, etc. Just get too annoyed with ND boards, but love talking some football. I do this for all of ND's bigger games. Ill leave if everyone wants, but would like to stay and get some facts on Miami and share what i know (or think i know) about ND. ill give honest opinions of good and bad of ND and do my best to answer any questions you have. Let me know what you think.

Crazy pumped for this game, huge for both teams. Obviously Miami has more to play for after ND regardless, but with the playoffs as a goal, both need to win to help secure that (although Miami could lose and still possibly make it).

So basically, before i waste a bunch of time typing up stuff, am i welcomed?

only one way to find out, start a thread. This is not your typical P5 football message board with heavy moderation, though. Good luck.lol

yeah, tried to start a thread about 8 a.m. , still not up, taking that as a sign? haha

By the way, before i possibly get booted, who are you hoping for a guest picker? personally, gotta be the rock...

I think ND is going to see speed and size combination like they haven’t seen yet. On both sides of the ball. No team plays better when disrespected better than UM. With your qb making dumb comments and the “experts” picking ND and being the favorite, UM will have a chip on their shoulder. You haven’t played in front of a sold out hard rock night game where the crowd will down right nasty. This environment will be nothing like you’ve seen. It’s gonna be ugly. If UM gets out in front and keeps the crown in the game, it will be tough. Jump out on UM and get the crowd out of it, you’ve got a shot. We’ve certainly faced other slower Midwest or northern schools and lost in the past, so, we’ll have to see. But, with the disrespect coming our way; this is shaping up too nicely for UM.

im good with, not to thin skinned. have been following the forum for a couple weeks, gotta a pretty good idea on what everyone thinks about ND. Doesn't bother me. have never had a problem with people hating ND. I can usually be reasonable and identify flaws.

You know, im nervous about this game, obviously. I think that it will be a close game. I think that we have played a couple teams (if you combined O,D, ST) that will help prepare us for this, but as you stated, not a team that has had strengths in all 3. I wanna try and watch a game, i have only watch bits and pieces of Miami play this year, so im not going to try and give an opinion on your team, ill just give opinions of mine. I think the crowd could be an issue. The speed issue i think is more of an issue for our defense then our offense. I think we actually have some speed on offense (not the typical slower midwest school). but i could see this game easily going into the 30s. Reading the threads i have noticed a lot of comments on the Wake Forest game. I was troubled by the lack of defense, but am hoping that was just a little bit of a let down after facing 2 ranked teams. This is not the Notre Dame of the last 15 years, but i am not sure they are a top 4 team either.

Obviously wimbush came back in and played. The rb had exams and was tired and not feeling well from a tough week. Lol

Both good to go (according to kelly) Adams was held out as a precaution and wimbush came back into the game. Banged up his hand (non throwing) and has had a sore ankle. Should be ready, although not sure how he will hold up the entire game. Although, i give him credit for coming back on saturday.

Wimbush has been banged up on and off all year unfortunately, still needs to learn to take a hit like a QB

Adams could have played but wasn't needed. Wimbush hurt his non-throwing hand at the end of the first half but played the third quarter. Both will be good to go.

I don't put a whole lot of stock in ND's performance vs Wake, there's no way they didn't take them lightly. I was encouraged though based on the way ND had trampled their last few opponents.
Miami has to clean up the TO's, ND will make us pay if we duplicate the VT game, but I think we'll be dialed in pretty good and it'll be another classic.

He's about to take 15-20 or more big hits this Saturday if he is able to make it through the game

I have a feeling we’ll be geared up to stop the running game and spy the qb, our secondary has been playing lights out. Qb gonna take a lot of hits. I’m sure UM alum will be around all week and the day of the game talking to our guys. No one picking us, home underdogs, qb dominating us.
I’m sure we’re happy having game day. More recruiting exposure for UM, positive press.
