Notre Dame better?

Miami manhandled ND at the line of scrimmage for most of game. That is why we won. People that can't see that are clueless about football.

Not to mention it was Beck's first game after a serious surgery, and limited practice time having missed spring.
 
The game was tied with 3:01 remaining and ND led in total yards prior to the last Miami drive.

Miami was in good position going into the 4th for sure. Not dominating by my standards but definitely in great position. The last ND scores count. It’s not like they were in garbage time or ND got a 99 yard fumble recovery. The game was tied with under 4 minutes.

I hope Miami makes some noise if they get in the playoffs.

Beck coming off injury, had barely any time to mesh with players or offensive playbook, had to figure out their timing...Toney wasn't the same player used game 1 as he is now.....This bs narrative that they got better is comical and they know it. Your offensive line grow an extra arm? TF outta here
 
The biggest questions as to who would win now are: why did ND lose to UM the first time and how has that changed so that they are better now?

The biggest reason why we won the first time is both trenches and that has not changed. We get Blay back, Moten and Scott have really come on, and our O scheme is far superior to what it was back then, making our OL advantage even more noticeable.

They see Miami lose those games and they permanently cement in their minds that this is Miami and they can't get any better, but we are actually a superior team to the one that dominated ND. And again, the reasons why we beat them last time have not changed and we are better than we were.

I think the CFP thinks that ND’s QB is much better now that he’s beat a lacrosse player by a million points. Only thing I can think of as to why the continuously say “ignore all our criteria we just think ND is better so they’re higher”

go read your own message boards from that day and the next few days... you guys wanted the DC and OC fired and thought CJ Carr was terrible... and you all knew your OL got absolutely dominated by our DL and your DL did nothing against our OL...

then you lost again the next week and it got worse..

the only thing that changed since then is you've padded your resume with a bunch wins over terrible or mediocre teams.... there's nothing you guys have done that indicate you can actually compete and win a game against a top 10 team...

just a symptom of post modernist perspective inculcated especially in our youth that feelings matter more than facts
 
The big reason I hear is “Notre Dame is much better than they were at the beginning of the season”. So, they played much better against a much weaker schedule? Most teams look way better against last place ACC teams than they do against CFP caliber opponents.

I was only pushing back on the idea that Miami dominated. That strikes me as ludicrous.
 
Also when people describe Carr as a freshman on his first start, they're acting like he's ******* 18. He is almost 21 years old. Malachi Toney tore up their sorry defense at 17 years of age. GTFO

****, an Irish fan saying late scores count. Crazy. All I’ve seen all week are ND fans posting how much ND was up against common opponents in the 1st 1/2.

I think ND could make a deep run in the playoffs and they should be in. I think the same about Miami. Both are better than any SEC school. Yet 1 will be getting left out while there will be 5 SEC school. It’s dumb.
