Notre Dame AD: ACC did “permanent damage”

"We talk all the time. Can't tell you how much I admire his relationship. Good conversations about format, process, gave him my viewpoint on the process."

On his conversation with Greg Sankey.....

The ACC should end their agreement today and tell Notre Dame good luck on filling your schedule with power 4 teams. Good power 4 teams won't want to schedule ND. There is really nothing to gain for a top 25 team to play ND. ND would end up mostly group of 5 scrubs and ND would get left out because their sos would be in the 100s. Power 4 teams should use this opportunity to take ND off the playoff schedule for years until a super conference is created.

especially since they can leapfrog their own programs as long as they're in the top 12...

Says they have to prove it on the field to get in the "zip code" of the Top 12. They wanted protection that they would have an avenue to get into the CFP.
Who approved this? Did the commissioners approve it? WTF is the incentive to do this from anyone outside of south bend

Miami is in the playoffs because they played and beat ND. If everything else this season stayed the same but Miami and ND didn’t play in Week 1, and each played some random **** team instead, Miami would be 10–2 with zero ranked wins, and ND would be 11–1 (assuming ND didn't open with NIU) and one ranked win against USC. In that scenario, ND is in, leaving no spot for Miami.

The CFP Committee should literally not be allowed to rank ND higher than like 15 before the final 2-3 weeks of the season no matter what their record is. Such ******* absurd bull**** to give them ALL the protection of and SEC/B1G team playing in a conference.

When the CFP show has them at 12 on conference championship weekend and BYU is at 13 and they beat number 7 Texas Tech and Tech falls to 12 and BYU goes up to 6... then they show ND at 13 on the graphic...

The dudes ****** looking head is going to explode.

Your piece of paper isn't doing anything but lowering your ranking a little bit just in case they need to make an example of you again.

also whined a lot about the CFP committee misleading them... would have preferred to be ranked 19th or so behind Miami if that is how it was going to end up so at least they knew what they had to do to get back into the rankings...

He needs to be asked EXACTLY what this would have solved.

Would Notre Dame have run up the score on Stanford MORE?

Seriously, ND won its final 10 games. The CFP rankings were only for the last 5 weeks of the regular season. Notre Dame is not in a conference, and thus cannot play in a conference championship game.

So "what" EXACTLY would Notre Dame have "had to do to get back into the rankings"? Win every game? They did. Run up the score on every team? They largely did, particularly against Stanford.

Again, ND did nothing wrong. This was a Greg Sankey/SEC/Alabama mafia type thing.

See what you are ignoring though is USC is also cancelling your game. So then what is your best win? Pitt was your second best win. They wouldn't play you either. Who the **** are y'all gonna schedule! The SEC is moving to 9 games AND most of the top programs already have OOC rivalries. What P4 program is going to jump to play ND in the final month of the season without a schedule agreement? NOBODY. ND keeps thinking they are so great, but if the other programs don't schedule you you will be ****ed. However maybe with this bs MOU even if you play a schedule full of G5s youd still get in.... Y'all would be closer to BYU than any SEC/B1G program in every CFB fans eyes without a P4 scheduling agreement.

The SEC isn't gonna get pushed around by ND like the ACC is. ND can only keep ACC tied or go into B1G which y'all also hate because all ND EVER does is pick up their ball and go home like the little pussies they are .

bingo. he should be mad at Bama and not the ACC.

bama is the team that didnt belong and got in. they could have started a HS roster in the SEC title game and it wouldn't have made a diff in their ranking.
