Notre Dame AD: ACC did “permanent damage”

I remember seeing a bunch of pussies on this site begging us to do the same thing if we were snubbed.

Thought it was *** then and think it’s *** now. Go and play the bowl game and get young guys reps. Get extra practice in to develop players.

Soft move

The CFP shafted ND by changing at the last second. We should’ve been in above them for weeks leading up to the decision. The committee only moved us in because they didn’t want to leave the ACC without representation. That was a mistake

Don't forget that viewership number that is used as a basis for the 60% distribution ... is calculated on a 5 year rolling average, not just what happens in one season.
Is it based on total views? Basketball has a lot more games than football and UNC/Duke carry the league in that, and I wonder how the total payout looks.

Miami beat ND. That’s the only thing that matters. Common opponents is behind H2H in tie breaker scenarios. ND had no case to get in ahead of Miami. None. If you’re acting like they did, you’re admitting you don’t care about on field results.
Agree with this. Should have been Miami, ND, Ole Miss, OK, Alabama.

You beat Pitt 37-15; We beat them 38-17.
You beat Stanford 49-20; We beat them 42-7.
You beat NC State 36-7; We beat them 41-7.
You beat Syracuse 70-7; We beat them 38-10.

If you don't think you were padding the score against Syracuse, you weren't listening to sports media at all, because they wouldn't shut up about it.
beat pitt 38-7

We weren't padding the score against Syracuse. It was 35-0 after the first quarter. 56-0 a minute into the 3rd and we had our walkons in. What was your score with them after the 1st? At half.

Same with Pitt. We both know the story with Pitt and Stanford. The NC State game I will give you. Pretty close. We both know the final scores were very misleading on Stanford and Pitt. I am not going to get into it. ND vs. Miami isn't the narrative that should be talked about. It should be 5 (FIVE!!!!) crappy SEC schools getting favorable draws to try to get that crappy league a title!! They were scared of ND and kept them out. Plain and simple. Having ND in would cost them money. It 100% boils down to that.

It won't. They are 100% right. They got screwed by ESPN and SEC collusion. They have done nothing wrong. If anything recruits are going to want to hop on for what is coming. Look out for anyone in ND's path.
I get it. No doubt you got screwed.

We got screwed in 2000 when they took the Noles over us even though we beat them head to head and they went on to lose to Oklahoma in the National Championship.

In 2001 we won it.

You guys will be fine despite the adults in the room handling it in the wrong way, IMO, especially the bowl game.

FSU got ****ed over way worse than you guys did yesterday after an undefeated season and they still showed up for their bowl game despite all of the opt outs.

Instead of having people saying, yeah, they got screwed it sucks, the reaction because of the behavior of ND leaders is backfiring on you guys.

You will have a great season next year but they won’t have a problem ******** yiu guys again in if there is a toss up circumstance especially because of your reactions this year as a program.

In that way. Evidently. Marcus is too classy not to play the 2's and 3's in a blowout. He realizes everyone has done too much work to just keep the starters in.
Unfortunately, it's now the way the game has to be played thanks to the ACC stupid qualification rules and CFP committee criteria.

I'm not sure the exact way they break it down whether total accumulated views, or average per game views. I think it is total views with each football view holding a weight of 3x each bball view.

TLDR, being a good football school is much more lucrative than being a bball school in this newest iteration. Finally.

I overreacted to losing to SMU and now have to wait 30 days to change it back

I was trying to get banned and @RVACane won't let me
Lol dude you served 27 days or so already and only have 4 days left. 12/12/25 at 4:49 am is your slot.

I mean, not really. We dominated Pitt and Stanford more than you did. Watch the games. We played our subs the last 1.5 quarters, when you still had your ones in trying to pad the score. But it worked for you. We should have done the same. Not hating. It was probably smart of you.

@NDfan So being as non-confrontational as I can (I'm not too good at it, I'm really a prick), I'll make a case of this. Notre Dame had the last case to make a statement on this issue, Miami had already finished.

The ND - Stanford game was the chance for them to common opponent tie it up at 2-2, they knew what they had to do to make THAT statement.
What did they do, they let Stanford score 17 points on them in the second half, to make it a 29 point game. In addition, they gave up 300+ yards on offense to Stanford. The sitting the starters, well when looking at the actual game, Carr and Love was playing at the end of the 3Q to the start of the 4Q:

Miami played them, Miami won 42 - 7, won by 35 points and only gave up 144 yards on offense.
The same for Miami in Stanford game, as Emory Williams was QB and C. Wheatley-Humphrey was in the 4Q for us:

So this narrative of ND not trying to run up the score - 1 they tried, 2 they were not successful, 3 Miami did similar in the same like game.

When looking at the claims under scrutiny of matter of facts, some of the ND story doesn't hold water.

If they were not running up the score narrative, well why not. You had a chance to make a statement to take narratives away, and you didn't? Is that your angle? They put an injured LOVE back into the game for what reason? Risking his pro career for why?

OR

You were trying to run the score up, and you couldn't. You couldn't stop a sorry *** Stanford team that put 20 on you and 300+ yards.

Either way, poor narrative when you look at it deeper. This whole story line is very lame, and making me have to go into this much detail really sucked, other than my company is paying me to argue this so I shouldn't be so frustrated by it.....

**** these *****-*** crybabies. They get an automatic playoff bid starting next year just for finishing in the top 12, and they're whining about a team passing them that they should've never been in front of to begin with??

They're just shook because they found out that Bama is an even bigger sacred cow than they are.
