Notre Dame a 3.5 point favorite (All Miami-ND, Mali News)

Yeah, its not good. DT was a strength. The box could shut down the run game and allow the secondary to clamp up teams, but we are missing key guys at every level now. It was definitely felt vs. BYU and will unquestionably be felt vs. the best offense in the country.

Honestly, just hoping we can turn it into a shootout. I honestly don't think we have the weapons to do that.

Hey this game means way more to ND than to us in terms of making the CFP. It would take an epic disaster for us to miss the ACCCG, like we’d need to lose 2/3 games + other things to keep us out. If we beat ND they don’t belong. Period.

ND shouldn’t be worried. Forget trying to run the ball. Carr should throw 48 times this game. He will finish with 500 yards passing

As it should... looking at FSU and UNC, our pass D is nonexistent.. PTSD from 2024
An unstoppable offense + an opportunistic defense that makes plays when you need them to (like Lightfoot's forced fumble Saturday night) can easily win it all. Everyone has holes. Not everyone has Mensah & Mali.

This game should be a pickem. I'm all over the Canes +5.

if UNC could turn it into a shootout, i'm pretty sure notre dame can lol.

i'm expecting a track meet potentially similar to last year's a&m/notre dame game. however, ND may be banged up but they're still the best defense we will face. nightmare scenario is that we stumble on offense a few times, the defense plays like it did against UNC and FSU, and we go down a couple scores and can never quite close the gap.

The one good thing is we stop the run well. That's ND's string suit on O. As bad as we've been in pass D i'll take a Carr vs Mensah style shootout anyday of the week.

Brother we almost lost a Mensah vs Billy Edwards style shootout. Whoever has the ball last wins.
I told my buddy the same thing when NC got the ball back right before Lightfoot caused the FF: "If we don't generate a turnover somehow we're gonna lose this game unless we're the last team with the ball." Then after we went up 10 I felt a wave of relief...until we proceeded to let Billy motherf**kin Edwards Jr. drive the length of the field in under a minute. Fortunately we won't be facing Petrino again, because -- despite being a deplorable human being -- he was smart enough to masterfully exploit our weaknesses better than most OCs can.

But ND is definitely more talented than NC on both sides of the ball, and I haven't seen any evidence of coverage improvement in conference play leading up to this matchup. So as you said, the last team with the ball will likely be the team that wins the game.

+ Middle screen to TE
+ RPO screen to the 3x1
+ 8yd hook to the inside WR on 1st down.

You do that, in any order with a few runs mixed in and you’re guaranteed at a minimum a trip to the red zone against Miami.

Don’t believe me, **** you.

That’s not true.

At some point, teams figure out the last piece of the equation which is time of possession.

UNC’a put that out there now and they’re the team that’s gotten closest to beating Miami this year.

FSU basically did what WF did for a quarter and a half a whole game and threw screens. FSU’s only problem was they were moving to fast down the field and gave Miami’s offense the ball back.

UNC ran a mixture of both schemes plus a physical run game that wasn’t productive, but good enough to get positive yards and keep the LB’s occupied. UNC’s problem was a lack of talent.

Notre Dame doesn’t have talent issues that FSU and UNC have.

I don't understand this "Notre Dame is more talented bull****". Some of yall must still sleep with a night light on and have your wife check under the bed for Marcus Freeman.

I didn’t say they’re more talented than Miami.

They’re definitely more talented than UNC and FSU on both sides of the ball
