Judgement day for our defensive staff this week. Will they be able to fix the pass d?
death of his father too, horribleThose four out for sure. Likely Onye also. KVA and Moore are very banged up and have been out for a while. Lenny hasn't been right since Stanford. Really eight starters as Shuler has been really bad and playing hurt since UNC.
Yeah, by all accounts a great dude. Tough to go through that.death of his father too, horrible
Line moving NDs way because of how we looked on D vs UNC...as if ND hasn't been looking like trash. They struggled against Navy.
Yeah, its not good. DT was a strength. The box could shut down the run game and allow the secondary to clamp up teams, but we are missing key guys at every level now. It was definitely felt vs. BYU and will unquestionably be felt vs. the best offense in the country.
Honestly, just hoping we can turn it into a shootout. I honestly don't think we have the weapons to do that.
An unstoppable offense + an opportunistic defense that makes plays when you need them to (like Lightfoot's forced fumble Saturday night) can easily win it all. Everyone has holes. Not everyone has Mensah & Mali.As it should... looking at FSU and UNC, our pass D is nonexistent.. PTSD from 2024
if UNC could turn it into a shootout, i'm pretty sure notre dame can lol.Honestly, just hoping we can turn it into a shootout. I honestly don't think we have the weapons to do that.
The one good thing is we stop the run well. That's ND's string suit on O. As bad as we've been in pass D i'll take a Carr vs Mensah style shootout anyday of the week.
I told my buddy the same thing when NC got the ball back right before Lightfoot caused the FF: "If we don't generate a turnover somehow we're gonna lose this game unless we're the last team with the ball." Then after we went up 10 I felt a wave of relief...until we proceeded to let Billy motherf**kin Edwards Jr. drive the length of the field in under a minute. Fortunately we won't be facing Petrino again, because -- despite being a deplorable human being -- he was smart enough to masterfully exploit our weaknesses better than most OCs can.Brother we almost lost a Mensah vs Billy Edwards style shootout. Whoever has the ball last wins.
ND shouldn’t be worried. Forget trying to run the ball. Carr should throw 48 times this game. He will finish with 500 yards passing

This game should be a pickem. I'm all over the Canes +5.
We'll take it. All the pressure is on ND.Brother we almost lost a Mensah vs Billy Edwards style shootout. Whoever has the ball last wins.
I don't understand this "Notre Dame is more talented bull****". Some of yall must still sleep with a night light on and have your wife check under the bed for Marcus Freeman.
