One reason Bama and Clemson players look like animals is they recruit animals to begin with. Especially Bama. They recruit monsters up front. I'm not downplaying S/C but when you recruit monsters and then have a culture of competition and accountability then you get the results that you see at Bama and Clemson.

This can't be possible. He's not 1 of the 2-3 S&C coaches that Cane fans know by name so he can't be any good.

I'll base my reaction from this upcoming offseason since I know nothing about this guy and very little about the ins and outs of what strength and conditioning coaches do
But if he is actually allowed to physically be around the players working out and actually preaches what he teaches then it's a step in the right direction
2 guys with same body types and similar genetics will get different results if 1 of the 2 is on PEDs and training with a top strength coach. If he can get the kids to work out harder and push them he'll be fine. This isn't brain surgery, you work our hard you get stronger and faster. I'm 60 in two months, just getting over my second shoulder operation 8 months ago. Tore muscles off two different places the last one was my bicep which was reattached by drilling a hole through my humerus bone. Still can push up 120lbs dumbbell presses at 170 lbs. Doctor said I would be doing 15 lbs from then on. Arthritis everywhere. I work out harder than most and make sure I get enough protein that's why I'm still stronger than most for my size. No drugs! Get the kids training harder and you'll see results. If they need the speed drills make sure they get them. If he's a motivator he'll be great here. JMO
Agreed, it’s a Miami tradition for fans to trust the new HC blindly for at least 2-3 years. We won't know if this is a good hire for several years. Might as well just support it blindly.
This is an uninformed post. RECRUITING IS NOT ENOUGH.
Bama and Clemson recruit monsters AND they have world-class S&C staffs. So "recruiting like Bama and Clemson" won't matter on the field if our S&C staff isn't up to par, because they will still have that +1 on any program that doesn't place a heavy emphasis on S&C.
Some people who make posts like this clearly don't understand HOW IMPORTANT the S&C coordinator is. He's like a second head coach; while practice times with the actual coaching staff is limited during the offseason, no such limitation exists with the S&C coordinator. It is a serious, serious position and one that great coaches (Saban, Meyer, and Swinney) place an ENORMOUS emphasis on.
Recruiting, flat out, is not, and never will be, enough - if we're trying to get on Clemson and Bama's level. Full stop.

It’s like any other sport. The best coaches get the best results.
Until PEDs are brought to Miami expect to hit a wall in ACC ship every year. It’s an unfair advantage - hence why it’s against NCAA and NFL rules.
You have to give a HC at least that or more. With new relationships, trust is always blind.Agreed, it’s a Miami tradition for fans to trust the new HC blindly for at least 2-3 years.
temple better one plays in best group of 5 conference 2 they win but that said la tech also has one of the worst budgets in all fbs. which is why I think if had been hester woudlnt of been a bad hire just don't think he was ever considered. its also why baker hire looks better every day la tech vs peers were great on d and that despite having a worse budge then peersDude, Kurt Hester was only popular around these parts because he trained marines and made wacky YouTube videos. Meanwhile, La Tech's football program has been no more successful than Temple's in the past 5 years.
90% try 99% . But since this guy is a nut job redneck on youtube he can't be good LOLLol 90% of this board doesn't know anything about S&C coaches. I couldn't name one aside from our own til it was brought up. Some of y'all would be mad at the sky for being blue.
FWIW I had 2 Temple transfers at ETSU. A QB and a LB and we sat down with them and talked S&C and their backgrounds to develop the best plan for them. Feeley focuses on Olympic lifts as their primary “style”. Don’t thibk he’s a Hatch disciple but he does that type of fast twitch development.
For a QB, Marchi was very good in the weight room and had very good technique. The LB was an absolute animal and probably pound for pound the best lifter we had and came in great shape straight from temple.
