We're not bringing the entire Afghan population. Is Texas that bad?
Brother,We're not bringing the entire Afghan population.
Pretty sure W accomplished the mission of neutralizing the TolleyBahn... Try again?
Exactly this. The pullout was inevitable and needed. HOW the exit was conducted... well. #stolenelectionshaveconsequencesIan Bremmer was on CNBC to discuss Afghanistan and I thought he was reasonably forthright in his answers. In a nutshell, Afghanistan has been a lost cause for a while under multiple administrations, but the way Biden handled the pullout and overall situation is an abomination. Our allies are super ****ed, and there may be large number of western civilian casualties because of his incompetence.
It wasn't about nation-building or the betterment of the Afghans. It was a warriors sandbox - for better or worse. It served its purpose as long as it could - the CCP's checks were not going to bounce.Brother,
At the end of the day the US did absolutely nothing to better the Afghani people. This was nothing more than 20 years of fraud and funneling tax payer money. We allowed opium and ephedra production to ramp up and turned society into opium and meth addicts. Our biggest illusion of an accomplishment was the "liberation " of women. We introduced a Masters in Gender Studies at the "University" more to appease US critics than actually liberate women. Afghani women are still beat and abused just as much as they were 20 years ago. Kabul is an absolute sh*thole to this day.
If you mean the net effect, you're right. We have a rebellious streak that we expect/hope would cause us to rebel against oppression. It's what our country was founded on. But others don't think about fighting back, their first thought is get the **** out.Brother,

'Rumors That The Taliban Have Taken Over Are Unfounded,' Says Jen Psaki Wearing Hijab
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Many are expressing concerns over how far the Taliban has managed to advance after Press Secretary Jen Psaki gave her latest press conference while wearing an Islamic Hijab.t.co
I know this is Babylon Bee but there was a CNN reporter that changed into a hijab and was like “these guys are friendly” while she was surrounded by a bunch of Taliban brehs chanting “death to America”.![]()

No, we won't have room after we take half the Central American population. We're not bringing the entire Afghan population.
Respect, brother. We just might have a slightly different opinion. I don’t think the US ever gave a flying f*ck or had any compassion or empathy for these people. I'm not saying there was ever any altruistic motive. But we did go in and give them a taste of what life could be like, then let that door slam right in their faces.Respect, brother. I guess pride month in Kabul wasn't a big hit.
It will embolden the worst state actors, such as China, Russia and Iran.I'm not saying there was ever any altruistic motive. But we did go in and give them a taste of what life could be like, then let that door slam right in their faces.
I'm also not saying we should move the Afghan population here, but those who helped are now in danger because of us.
Vietnam/Saigon

Afghanistan
Why would anyone work with us?
