Not pretty but we're seeing progress

Far too many slow developing plays.
Still bringing in walk-on fullbacks.
Unimaginative running game. How are we never going to run a single read-option play?
Not enough RPO. Did we ever just quickly throw the ball out to Thomas or Pope with a WR screen and let them make a play?

Arrow pointing up, at least this week. I think that’s all anyone ever wanted at the very least, after a hyped up preseason. Keep improving, and we’re fine. Show up like wet noodles, and talk of banners goes up.

Inconsistency is still huge, you aren't seeing growth from some guys, and I still have serious questions about how we prepare. That wildcat sequence was a joke, it was like Miami had no clue FSU runs that clown crap. They've been running wildcat stuff all year, to create opportunities for Akers. Why was Miami so incredibly unprepared? It's not the first time that we've seen Miami be completely unprepared for something that the opposing team has shown regularly.

I just want to see this team put multiple games together in which all three phases look competent. I'm not asking for greatness or perfection, I just want to see a team that can stop someone, string together a couple of drives on O, and not have a liability at kicker. If that starts to happen, then maybe Diaz has a future. If not, then we are merely spinning our wheels, hoping that FSU doesn't find someone competent.

Ran the quick screen game to Thomas and Pope on multiple occasions, problem is that they are so predictable and easy to diagnose. Miami doesn't check out of low percentage plays, instead choosing to run them and hope for the best. When you have guys up tight in bump and run, quick game isn't going to work, it's almost impossible to make a guy miss when they can hear your farts.

You are an idiot or at least speaking like one . He called a great game. Best he has at UM. If you are bashing him now then you just have a personal issue with him. Period. Was it a perfect game ? NO but it was the best called game an OC has called at UM since the Notre Dame game 2 years ago.
Only play that actually really bothered me was the 4th and 1 sneak attempt. I get trying to catch them off guard but trying it after was dumb....but that’s more on Manny than Enos.

I think people just feel they have to say “Enos sucks” just as a qualifier

You are lost. We didn't do squat on multiple occasions with unreal field position. Defense bailed us out by holding strong and we connected on some awesome deep throws. Enos called a below average game and thinking he called a great game shows you don't know football.

Team showed some signs of maturity today.fsu scoring drive after we couldn't get that 4th down early in the 3rd qtr to pull within 7.team responded nicely and took the momentum back.I have to admit I didn't like the way the team looked especially against va tech and ga tech and several others.but today we all saw a team better prepared and mentally tough.even Knowles had a decent game.

We pass to set up the run. That is this team’s offensive identity. We’ve tried to find it soooo long. Today we found it.

Many posters have been saying this for years, including myself.

The screens are nice.

All we need now is more 3 step drop with stops, drags, crosses, etc.

When we make the defense move laterally and have to read for short passes on run downs, it really opens up the inside zone game.

Enos is in love with the outside zone, but it is hard for us to get big yardage with it without us holding.

Dallas’ big plays come running downhill, but we don’t set it up well and we are not patient enough.

Our line can be physical getting to the second level and are at their best firing off the ball straight into the opponent.

The east-west run plays are killing our production on the ground.

Yeah we threw some short to them, but not enough.

Your other points are pretty spot on.

At one point in the game our average yards to go on 3rd down was 10+. You think that is good?

We sucked on offense. Our defense just put us in so many high % situations, that we were able to take advantage of some.

It’s like if you hit statistically hit jackpot once every 100 chances, but I gave you 300 chances to do it. You’re probably going to hit jackpot.
We were very inefficient on offense today. But that doesn’t matter when the defense gives you so many chances to hit jackpot.

No I didn’t think we executed on offense very well.

I don’t think the play calling was bad though.

But I have zero desire engaging in some long winded back and forth about Enos yet again....so it’s just like my opinion man.

I never fully lost hope in Manny. We are literally 4 plays and a kicker worth a dam from being 9-0.

JW15 with a healthy shoulder and half way decent blocking, this isn’t a bad team at all.

I expected growing pains from Manny. Not completely sold on Enos tho. Jury still out for me.

Manny was a dream hire for me. Even though it was a great win yesterday, im extremely disappointed this season. Going to be looking forward to some shakeups this offseason. You want stability, but Enos isnt earning that big check. If Diaz took over the D, Baker has to go.

Defense could have this team undefeated.

Offense was terrible at times but came up with some beautiful big plays when needed.

Coaching is improving although Dan Enos is still not earning his paycheck.

Now the key is ensuring we don't lose another game or all this momentum is for nothing.
Can you imagine if Willis had ONE more year of eligibility? I know it's water under the bridge, just saying...

Let’s not all start blowing each other. There was som
This team (players and staff) is growing up before our eyes!!!!!! Great win! Great game!!! Let’s pray that we keep it rolling!!!! Adversity can bring the best out of people!!!!
Let’s Go Canes!!!
lets not start blowing each other. There was some terrible football in there with a few bright spots.

I mean, does “competent” on D mean giving up zero yards and zero points?

You act like we got totally rolled by their wildcat. We gave up ~200 yards of total offense, 31 yards rushing, and 10 points and had 16 TFL, 4 no gains, and 9 sacks. What more do you want from the D?

Serious question.
