He is a total *****.

He is essentially cutting off all media access to the program.

The guy has spoken twice in the last 60 days...only because he absolutely had to.

Virtually the entire spring will be closed. Zero fan interaction.

Has nothing to do with helping the team....it is only designed to make Goldens last 10 months here as painless as possible.

Flake James totally condones and supports the behavior.

Al knows he is done....so does Flake.

Can't come soon enough.

AGREED, lets let the season play itself out with a 6-7 win season. get a new President who will get a new AD & new HC
otherwise lets let it go....... Al is gone and he knows it so lets don't beat a dead horse
 
This is only going to ****off even more some of the local guys like the BIG O,Omar and they will keep crucifying Golden publicly.

Don't think he is a *****. This is just common sense.why open up to the media if you know you're gonna get hammered, like talking about the teams performance to the potential high draft pick. No1 with one ounce of sense would do that to themselves.
 
Exactly. Why open it up to the media and fans when he is going to just get heckled the entire 2 hours. Support the boys wearing the pads. Don't take it out on them.

I think he is a *****. **** his coal shovlin mentality. POS aint never won ****, played a situation into job security (no ******* way he did not know...I dont care what anyone says), then thinks that his mediocre performance absolves him from being scrutinized. **** him and everything he stands for. That POS deserves every bit of criticism for being such a stubborn POS worthless mother****in coach. MAKE HIS ******* LIFE MISERABLE
 
IDC he doesnt need to speak to the media. he needs to be reading **** books on how to run the 3-4 Defense. to watch 30 for 30 to get some ideas of how real coaches run the u

Golden doesn't want to be here. He hasn't since he didn't get the PSU job. He could give a rat's ### what anyone concerned with the University of Miami thinks. He's just going to do the minimum necessary this season and collect his money. Feel sorry for the kids on this team who really want to win and play well, because I don't think he cares about them, either. It's a horrible situation. The administration and BOT created this mess. They should be the object of our scorn even more than Golden.
Am worried about how this toxic situation will carry over with the program even after Golden, Shalala, and James are gone. How badly has this damaged our chances of ever having a competitive team in the future? (Local kids don't want to come here.) We're definitely going to need another Howard or Butch to get things going again.

Its strange. When we hear golden speak, it angers us because the man is a pathological liar. When he chooses not to speak, the fans get ****ed.

Its clear that golden does not know how to win on the field but now he can't seem to win off of it either. :watermelon:
 
Folden knows the heats that's out there...its a clear sign that he hears the noise and feels the pressure...blocks media from practice but encourages the releases of the U-tough videos every week. He clearly wants to control the media by limiting them to what he wants them to see in hopes of creating a buzz surronding the team and the upcoming season...

Isn't the point of PR to sell tickets? Looks like they've boxed themselves in a trap (or trapped in a box). Either way, they're screwed, and we're screwed.
 
Guess he feels like the fans and media are marching to his house w/ pitchforks, so why leave the front door open... hope he enjoys this last major paycheck before he's curb stomped next year
 
Al is afraid to let fans anywhere near him because they will surely have signs or wear shirts calling for his firing. Old Canes has "us against the world" mentality but the fans were included in the "us". Al, Blake, Donna and BOT have included the fans in the "world". We have become the enemy. BOT thinks school can survive without fans because of ACC money. But that is like media company thinking it doesn't need viewers or viewers because of ad money, not realizing the ad money or ACC money will eventually stop without fans. They are creating a Temple South. Only matter of time before ACC puts the screws on them. Miami was brought in to ACC to make it a real footfall conference not for Miami to become a basketball school. TV money is to huge for a one school football conference. Noles lose one game next year and ACC is shut out of playoffs. Our BOT is full of idiots who are killing the goose that lays the golden eggs so a couple of chickens can run around the yard.
