you're crazy if you don't think this is motivation and talked about amongst players and coaches and the team. you're crazy if you don't they are using this. not richt but if you don't there are certain coaches walking around during warm ups and stretching telling our guys "nobody thinks you're good enough, you guys aren't good enough, you're gonna get blown out and run off the field" in a sarcastic motivating way, you're crazy.

So how our players got motivated to play very hard in the past while they were on top of the world with everyone fearing them? They won 58 games in a row at home. You run out of motivational speeches and things to say after a while. No, they didn't need coaches telling them during warm ups this or that. Winning was in their DNA. That team was a championship team.

We don't need to make a statement. We need to win. By 1 point if necessary. That's all. Then we get a guaranteed slot in the ACC title game.

10 plus years of stench gone when we shock the world tomorrow. Amazing how it all these long years it's been building up to this. Losing the OB, the Shapiro scandal, coaching incompetence, failure after failure. God**** this last decade has hurt. Will all be washed away when we make VT embarrassed that they even got off the bus. One more game. One more win.

Can't hate on anyone that picks vt , objectively I get it. Our offense is boom or bust, they have a good D... Our D is solid, but has given up a ton of rush yards they want to run the ball.. we'll see

Lulz at the dude on espn last night talking about what Miami needed to do, or they could get blown out?? Palmer picks us to win and he thinks we could get blown out...mmmm, ok.

On CBS Sports' Inside collegefootball Randy Cross picked the Canes while the other three guys picked the Hokies.

Cross never picks the Canes so it was a bit odd. He even had the audacity last week to say that UCF was a better team than Miami.

Now he picks them in the biggest game of the year. Crazy stuff.

Absolute lock that at least 3 people on the ESPN panel this morning pick against us.

The question will be who takes Miami, Desmond or Herbstreit?

Motivational ploys and speeches are grossly overrated. Thomas Brown gets it right.

About half, or more, of the talking heads are picking against us. They are not experts. No game has ever been decided by how many talking heads picked some team to win.

Since all predictions are non binding on the final outcome, I don't see any reason to get all mad about it.
A lot of people picked FSU, & GT to beat us, so take it with a grain of salt

Desmond - Miami
Pollack - VT
Herbstreit - No Pick
Bear - Miami

Pollack picking against Miami was the lock of the century.

When we played and beat F$U they werent the train wreck that they are now

When we beat Duke they were undefeated

When we played Syracuse they had just beaten the defending National Champions and #2 team

When we played GT they were a respectable 3-1

Funny how when we played these teams all the experts picked us to lose

You had better believe that when we curb stomp ****** Tek tonight the experts will come back with VT was overrated

This. (Though I think we need GaTech to beat UVA today for the guaranteed part).

UVA would need to not only beat GT, but VT Louisville and us to secure the Coastal. If we win today, we would have 0 ACC losses vs. UVA and VT with 2 losses.
