^This is the kind of thing people either fail to realize or fail to appreciate about Richt's track record as a head coach.

The SEC had some very good teams while he was the coach at UGA, both in his division and the other. It was hard for UGA fans to see UF have their success while UGA fell short. He coached in the SEC for a long period of time when it was by far the best conference. He did **** good considering the competition he faced yearly.

The current ACC is not at that level of competition yet. He should find a ton of success in the Coastal as it basically should be UM and Va Tech every year fighting it out.

UGA had an average record of 6-6 for the 20 years before CMR got their and immediately improved by 4 wins per year, to a 10 and 2 average for the next 15 years. The idea that Richt couldn't win the big ones is skewed by the fact that the Richt era at UGA is the only period in which UGA played in big games in almost 40 years.

So let's play that game. Richt couldn't win the big ones at UGA. What big game did UGA play in between 1983 and 2001, and how did they do?

No big games in 40 years..... I guess you are forgetting that National Championship in 1980. It doesn't matter what he did at Georgia. 2 SEC championships in 15 years. He won those two SEC championships in his first 5 years. For a very short period of time, Georgia was one of the best program in the SEC. After 2005, Georgia was passed by several programs. 4 coaches won national championships...none were coaching in the SEC when Mark Richt's arrived at uga. They passed Richt like he was standing still. Those are the facts.

Mark richt is at Miami now and I believe he has a chip on his shoulder because of what happened at UGA. We Roll.

Idk...easy to say that as a fan...but from the outside looking in, our starts offensively has been when they have a reason to come out firing on all cylinders due to disrespect. We need the offense to jump out ahead this game, as it will help with keeping VT in "pass to catch up mode". If this game goes like the previous games of this season..I'd rather play this game like Syracuse where we're out ahead instead of in come-back mode.

Once again I post why do you kids care what people think of us. Talking head experts had us losing to FSU, Syracuse and ga tech. We won all 3 games. During our glory days we were hated. We won 5 championships. Just keep on winning. We should rejoice that the anti-Cane fans hate us and they are sick and frustrated that we continue to win. Enjoy the ride and forget about what others think.

Very true. Seems like a lot of these talking heads.picked us to.lose against FSU, Duke and GT also. Seems like good karma to me

"Smart money is on The Hokies" yet the Vegas line (which usually is better than any expert) continues to swing in Miami's favor. None of this matters once the ball is in the air.

Cant wait for tailgate Saturday been way too long..
