Not Getting Herman Would Be A Disaster For This Program

The state of Texas has talent but the issue is that any head coach there has to spend 75% of his time kissing the asses of extremely rich boosters who all think they should have some say in how the program is run. Ain't no money like oil money. Not even Saban would be a good fit - he's got the juice to tell them to f#ck off, but those rich pricks aren't used to being told "no" so they would hold the program hostage by refusing to donate until the head coach plays ball. I'm not a religious man, but I think there is a biblical verse applicable to that Texas coaching position:

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul ..." Mark 8:36

TBH The best fit for Texas would probably be that scumbag at Ohio State, Urban Meyer. He already is morally bankrupt, has no issues with kissing booster *** to get special favors, and would be an expert at bullsh#tting the parents of Texas high school recruits with his" good Christian" act. Unfortunately for Herman he probably still thinks of himself as a football coach instead of a pimp.

I live in Austin and my wife is a UT grad. I really believed coming into this season that the big wigs would give Herman at least three seasons before sounding the alarm. That being said, the loss today is disastrous and I only see 2-3 games (Tulsa, Kansas and maybe Iowa St.) where they'll be definitive favorites. Ultimately, this is the guy they mortgaged their future on and with Jimbo poised to clean up here in the state, im not sure how attractive the job is should they decide to move on.

they recruited well last two years but they look slow and just weak against maryland. i mean Pruit just got to Tenn and those kids are showing more heart.

Tom Herman is an elite football coach.

He simply doesn’t have the talent yet.
They got talent. Strong last 2 classes was top 10. Even the trasition class was 25th and that was 2nd in the big 12. And they just brought in the #3 class.
