Not buying the (FSU) hype

This ain't last year's rooster.

6 new starters on offense who should help them a lot: Wright, Coleman, Bell, Harris, Roddick, Byers

Defensively they bring back everyone impactful except Jammie Robinson.

The hype has them as a playoff contender, so there will be Miami fans that mock them if they have a good season, but don’t reach that level….whether they beat us and are generally better than we are or not…

Because some just love talking **** and we have nothing to talk **** about other than others failures … which is funny when they are 5-7, not when they win 9 or 10 and smack us around…

To each their own…

Let’s just ******* beat them…on the field, at recruiting (all recruiting), as a school, with resources … everything … that will speak for itself…

I can worry about us and hate them mutha****as at the same time. Multitask--and **** them seminoles. **** talkin' them is allowed in my house at any hour of the day year-round.

The more those bums bump their chests and claim mythical elite status & invoke ol’ Bobby’s lore.

The harder they will crash and get clowned. They will be decimated by the time they get to us.

Last year was crazy how healthy they were all year.

I got them going 2-2 through their first four games. After that, the hype train will have derailed. At least they have recruiting to look forward to right? Oops, not with G5 Mike at the helm. Their only saving grace is that the last 2/3 of their schedule is a cakewalk. Their only tough game is against us, that’s it(notice I didn’t include the Gators).

If you're just clowning around with your friends or coworkers about their team, it's all good.

When you do it to random strangers and your team has sucked for two decades, you become the clown in that situation. In particular if you're the one that starts it.

I don’t really consider this **** talk. I’m just saying they’re not a playoff team. Travis will not win the Heisman. I don’t think Miami is a CFP team either. TVD doesn’t get anywhere near a Heisman trophy.

Probably TVD and I’m not even a huge TVD believer. A lot of people don’t realize Travis is a 6 year super senior and struggled tremendously before 2022. Was 2022 his ceiling or is there more potential? I don’t know, but I think TVD has a higher ceiling.
 
QB play is everything in football.. especially college. They will go as high or as low as Travis takes them.

TVD stats in 2021 .... 62.3% completions 2,931 yds passing 25 TDs 6 INTS 160.1 QB Rating

If rushing isn't considered a stat anymore you're right. If it is add 400 rushing yards and 7Tds. The ability to be a mobile threat in college foot ball is a game changer.
 
They’ll be a good team this year. Playoff talk is so far beyond absurd it’s not even worth mentioning.

Travis is good. Norvell is good. They finally have a receiver worth a ****.

If any fanbase knows an overrated team, it should be us since they’ve been overrating us for most of two decades.

As much as we all bash the SEC suck fest, sports writers and media have been begging to talk about teams other than the SEC/Clemson/OSU as well and FSU is a good one to hitch a wagon to, much like we were last year.

Last year was the first FSU/Miami game I’ve ever skipped in my life. Hopefully it’s the last.
