Not believing the hype

1. VT sucks

2. They did the same thing against Duke and Dorito went back to being Dorito against GT

3. Lets see them look competent against the UNC offense

I ain't falling for this **** again mane, it's still **** Golden and his friend until further notice

Duke is awesome though

All of this, I'm happy we won, show me against a real offense.

God forbid we enjoy a win. Bunch of ****ing mopes.

It was a decent win against a crappy team. That might make you feel good, doesn't mean the rest of us will get down and suck off golden like you would.

you're such a ******, why is everything d1cks with you, you are proving his point, just enjoying the win, completely unrelated to *****, and as if by some homophobic spastic terrets twitch you have you have to spout off about sucking d1cks. get help

For those of you thinking we beat a great team, here's what one VPI poster thinks of his Hokies:

[h=1]What we are putting on the field is an absolute embarrasement[/h]
I really dont understand how it has come to this. Brewer cannot even complete a pass over 5 yards to WIDE OPEN receivers. **** he cant hit the broad side of a barn at this point. ive never seen anyone look this inept before, playing for a 1A team.

Frank, out of all people, has totally abandoned the run in most of our games. even the announcers called us out in the second half saying we only attempted 6 runs in the first half, how can we expect to get the running game going? what happens when he (or someone) fired up the OL at halftime? we actually ran the ball in the second half (fumbles aside, we did run the ball).

We have GREAT skill players yet they have no chance to shine because they dont get the ball consistently. Overthrowing Bucky is absolutely laughable, the dude is like 6'-5".

I have no clue what the solution is, but Brewer is not part of it. Why not try Motley at this point and/or Leal? they cant do any worse that Brewer.

A few players have caused this team to come full circle back to 1987 when Beamer first took over, its not the whole team, but the whole team has given up. no heart.

its really sad to see.

Low expectations + Meet those expectations = Everything is good

Is that any worse than saying we should win 11 games and then ****ing when the team performs to the appropriate level?

Let's address the bold first:

We're not at the appropriate level, that is the issue.

1. 15-13 ACC

2. 0-3 versus FSU

3. 0 ACC Coastal Champs

4. Retains everyone on staff and makes no changes. Same result occurs in year 4.

So cut the with appropriate level BS, look at the above. Last year sealed the deal (along with the off-season). After the FSU game, we allowed 90 points to VT and Duke. With everything to play for, we failed miserably. Last year, in the middle of year 3, we still can't fix the issues. That was the end. Then we ended the season on a high note, getting raped by UL. End result, missed the opportunity to win the coastal and finished 5-3 AGAIN in the ACC.

Now for the underlined part.

Let's take the quote from the coaches opening press conference

The bar has been set and that bar is not going to move at the University of Miami. The thing I’ve said is, Don’t move the bar. Let us chase it, but don’t bring the bar down. Keep it where it is.

Like we said and will continue to say. He is failing to move us forward. He is sticking to the same staff and not improving. He is not moving us forward.

1. Exceeding low expectations or improving from a dismal performance doesn't mean much. So everyone can stop with we improved against Duke and VT because even if we beat them this year, we replaced them with performances like GT and UL. Replacing is not improvement, it is just more of the same. This year it is GT and UL.

2. Where is the actual improvement?

2011: 3-5 (L to FSU)
2012: 5-3 (L to FSU)
2013: 5-3 (L to FSU)
2014: 2-2 (Yet to be determined)

3. The biggest problem is Golden's commitment to a failed scheme and staff. He doesn't make changes. Everyone makes changes (for better or worse) but he sticks to the same staff. How are we going to improve if he sticks to the same system and staff? We already have more talent than 95% of our opponents. You don't think VT and Duke would kill for most of these kids?

In other news, Reynold's Wrap stock just shot through the roof due to online shenanigans.

I hadn't been on here in weeks and this is why. Stupid me, thought the board might lighten up a lil since we smashed vtech on the road last night. But nope, same agenda driven tools, driving there agenda into every single post. Good lord. Golden isn't getting fired after this year. Get over it or find you a new squad. This board is unreadable.

Not upset we won, but to believe we beat a good team is not close to being realistic and only masks the many deficiencies this team has from a coaching perspective. We've lost to every ranked team on our schedule. So with that continuous fact we'll win 3 of the next 4 games for a final record of 8-4. Of course Virginia could ruin that, making us 7-5 and losers to all good teams ranked or not.

I see a lot of bananas in a lot of tailpipes around here. I'm not falling for it. **** you, Al.

Care to refute anything above?

No, because (1) no one is reading that sht, and (2) you wouldn't acknowledge anything if someone refuted it anyway.

Anything in there about punting from the two?

wow

Wouldn't want them to get good field position on fourth down. After all, they were only down by 24 and had 80 yards all night. They could turn into Oregon at any time.

What is more likely to happen?

A. Refute anything above

or

B. Remove your head from Al's ****
