Not an excuse, BUT

It is an excuse...focus on Kaaya and the lack of his ability to play big against a very porous D.

Tonight's replay official, Joe Rider, has had 2 kids graduate from FSU. One is a past booster club president in Southwest FL.

Remember that targeting review?

Throwing a game tying td on 4th down isn't a big play? Gtfo. Love you inability to analyze the situation

Pete catching a big L and looking like a ****** here. Yes, some of the calls sucked, but no way should it have been close to begin with. Coaches have A LOT to do this week

Kaaya sucks, Perry can't get here fast enough

If you're going to whine about officiating then do it about the holding call that never should have been called that had nothing to do with the play and negated Walton's TD.

The original targeting call was wrong. But it's a tough call to overturn. As it turned out though it had no affect on the outcome.

Exactly. The complaint here is with the officials that make that god**** call on every big hit now. The structure of the rules make it hard for the replay officials to overturn them- disirregardless of bias or not. It's a lose-lose because the officials are erring on the side of "safety" and making that call and then the replay officials are almost handcuffed in overturning it. Go ahead and thank the concussion lawsuits and hysteria on the NFL level for this one.

Not sure why you got all the down votes.
It's an interesting factoid.
Yet most of these same down voters didn't bat an eye lash when a
local reporter tweeted some nonsense about one of our players posing next to an expensive sports car......some even claimed he was doing his job....I think folks don't want a fact getting in the middle of their Sunday tantrum....lol.

Joe Rider officiated football in SW FL for a long time. He's a known FSU groopie in the local community. How he got to be a replay official is a mystery to many. Pete's comments are right on. Why was he plugged in as a replay official with a well known conflict of interest issue? Noone is making any excuses about anything. Rider shouldn't have been involved regardless of the outcome. I call B.S.

Weak Pete.

Canes know better than to leave a game in the hands of the officials. And that blocked kick had nothing to do with him h

People are painting with way too broad of a brush coupled with the concern of "making excuses" has them reeling off "man up principles" (e.g., ugh, no excuses lol). But if you put the buzz cut culture bs down for a second, you'll recognize that in a close game --which it clearly was-- every play and point counts; and the booth not overturning the ref calling targeting was excessively miscalled (and it took off how much clock, field position, etc. things were close ). And finding out now that the thumbs down guy at the booth has kids attended Free Shoes --you're great grandmother * right I wouldn't ignore that.

For all the obnoxious policing that goes into the "integrity of the game," you'd think there would be a better job of screening even this/some hint of a conflict of interest.

As a parting point: and I don't typically point to the gallery, but it seems our beer throwing brethren likewise disapprove (though that may make a stronger case against it lol). But how can so much disapproval of a call (including by people here) prompt a numb response to exposing a relationship between the booth making that call, and having its member(s)'s kids attend and have a relationship with the school in favor of whom the call was made...

This is a strange place and it's because we have alot of weirdos in our fan base.
I mean, we had trolls like DC Dog Nuts not only posting SEC stuff every day, he was constantly ripping UM
football and even went so far as to make occasional racist comments about our players.
Very little, if any, reaction from folks on this board.
Bizarro.
