the best part is that when the buyout talks started last night/this am, the narrrative was that it was a very reasonable buyout ($5-6m). Lo and behold, lolol.

G5Mike and G5Billy have a combined $90m buyout. lolol

No of course not. But, they'll implode this year and most likely will have a similar result next year. His seat will be on the toasty side if he starts next year off like this year. The point is, his shell game is revealing itself and this is going to be their future for the next several years.

It is NOT .... that is the remainder of his contract possibly but not his BUYOUT. There was a thread showing both Napier and Norvel contract and buyout details .... Norvel has a current buyout of $6 million and Napier is around double that.

Well, then that makes it very reasonable to just eject him at the end of this season. No need to be on the hook for a $63 million contract when you can just move on for $6 million.

There was an article in the Tallahassee paper after he signed his new contract ... and it listed the BUYOUT by season .... that remained unchanged in the new contract ... it shows $6 million for the 2024 season as his buyout and it drops to $4M a year from now.

UF had a president who stole millions and now has a coach who they cant fire bc they have no money or president

He stepped on the landmine that all but the greatest coaches do-- he bought his own hype, and completely misinterpreted the data.

He hit on 14/20 portal signees, that is NOT sustainable absent some Butch Davis level talent evaluations and an unmatched budget, neither of which apply to him. Little known fact is that the majority of the portal are just JAGs, like his "5 Bama transfers," who as of now appear to have been fluffers.

Recruiting is still the bedrock of a very good to elite college football program; whereas he found an anomaly and extrapolated it into a long-term strategy.

He needs to get someone else ready to step in at QB because that team has already quit on BJ Gungalagunga. FSU is one entitled little group of ********, they seldom get back up from the mat.

he's not but what has transpired over the last 9 months is very concerning, culture-wise, and now 3 0-2 starts in 5 seasons with a 10 year 100 million commitment and staring down the barrel of a 3rd losing season

They do not have a 6 million buyout, it's 6 million this year plus 85% of remaining contract for a total of $63 million not including all the assistant coaches
 
I don't follow FSU recruiting too closely, but it seems like Norvell still recruits like he's at Memphis. Like, did he get the memo that at FSU he can go after whales now?
