Norvell

[JZCane0825]

I'm a sicko and have been listening to FSU podcasts this week to get their angle on the matchup. Apparently their BOT was at the Louisville game and the decision has already been made to move on from Norvell short of them beating us on Saturday.

I still don’t believe they have the money to fire him. Unless they bring in a cheap hire like Manny

If they can save money by waiting till Dec they will. Right now they are in the hole after renovations, the lawsuit, potential ACC buyout and future coach’s salary.

[ben]

they owe him $51M -- and apparently that only drops to about $46M once the season ends.

So the savings is relatively “minimal” (in the grand scheme). Might as well fire him now.

What will be interesting is who they have to settle on. That will be dependent in part on what other jobs come available

If I’m FSU and Clemson, Willie Simmons is one of my top targets

That’s just for him. The entire staff buy out will probably be closer to $70mm

I'll wait for someone to disagree.
