Norvell gone

After paying this massive buyout, I don’t think they would have the ability to hire a big time coach and buy his buyout plus whatever contract he gets.

I think they go the hot coordinator route or try and get Deion for the excitement factor.

You know who’s coming!!!!

"Finally, Miami will have a competitive rivalry again..."

...is what I expect the CIS Noles will be joyfully repeating...
It’s already been said in this thread.

The CIS holes are already making wishful suggestions for their next coach as you read through this thread.

The CIS holes have no shame.

"Hey Noles, stay tuned on Monday on same channel as we get to fire our OC and WR coach on Tuesday. Rumors are also surfacing that we will re-hire and fire Gene Deckerhoff on Wednesday ".

I only hated Memphis Mike because he was a Nole. Now that he isn't, I can go back to just being neutral about him.

My Nole hate remains for the rest of those busta's.
Another memphis head coach that couldn’t succeed at the P4 level. Fuente, Norvell. Silverfield is in his first yr at Arkansas. Huff the current coach will probably get some P4 looks as well

Norvell went 2-10 in 2024. Going into last season, seat should’ve been scorching. He proceeds to upset Bama (talent is there) before losing 4 straight (capped off by a terrible Stanford loss) before the bye week.

Late October. Perfect time to make a move. James Franklin, fired 6 days before, there for the taking.. and what do they do?! Double-down. Let VT take their obvious replacement. Bring back a dead man walking to do exactly what we all expected. Could not have played it worse.. and we are all better for it. Thank you for pulling a Miami. It’s been fun to watch.
I doubt they could have afforded to fire Norvell last year, as his buyout would have been even higher. Heck, I'm surprised they even did it this year. That's a ton of money to pay someone to go away. I also doubt they could have afforded Franklin, but who knows these days. We'll see who they hire this time... will they have the money to go after a big name?
