Fletcher had 3 fumbles last season and another in the spring game…

He will take his spot if a jump isn’t made in production and ball security. Same type of mold but breaks more tackles imo from what I’ve seen on film compared to what I’ve seen in person from Fletch. The ypc is lower, but he had a ton of work and wore down. 244 carries is insane, especially from a young guy.

Lyle should be given every chance to take RB1 duties, but a lot of teams are rotating 3 backs now throughout the season to preserve health. We’re seeing it in the NFL too (at least heavy 2 back rotations with closer splits in workload).

One of the stats I saw that was a little concerning, given our recent history, he played in 16 games last year and broke a 30+ yard run only once. In 13 of the games he never went over 18 yards.
His YPC is 4.8, which is average by CFB standards. He wasnt used as a receiver at all and Colorado shut him down. But Good news: he scored a TD a game and he averaged 15 carries per game, which is good because Fletcher hasn’t averaged over 10 carries per game in a season yet. A good take as RB3 with dev potential.

Martinez only averaged 12 as the lead back
