Based on who we actually pulled and knowing what you know now, would you guys still have preferred to have Jeudy or Smith over J. Thomas or perhaps even someone else I forgot to mention? IMO I would take Thomas and glad we were able to land him. I think without his grade problems in the past, he would've been a 5 star. One of the best receivers we've been able to pull in years. Smith graded higher was a crime. Wasn't exactly sure where to post, but was just looking for input from the more veteran guys in crootin

Thomas > Jeudy >>> Smith

Yep. Thomas is facking beast. His cuts are lethal, he literally slow baits a defender, cuts and is 5 yards up the field before they can move

Jeudy is no slouch though. They're both elite talents who will have great careers.

Smith is a class below them in my opinion. Great prospect but doesn't have the tools of Thomas and Jeudy.

Non biased opinion? As pure wide receivers I would rank them:

1. Jeudy
2. Smith
3. Thomas

But, we already have Richards as the #1 WR, so for Miami...the list changes from "Whose the best WR" to "Who can give us what we need".
I think we all can agree that right now our offense has a "Need for Speed". We also need a spark in the special teams (Hopefully Richt doesn't throw another Malcolm Lewis at Return Specialist). When you factor in the needs of the offense, and team as a whole, the list can be flipped.

Fastest, most dynamic player who can be a threat if he touches the ball would be:

1. Thomas
2. Smith
3. Jeudy

How you rank them solely depends on what you're asking.

Who would I rather have for this current Miami offense?

Thomas > Jeudy > Smith

Who would I rather have in this recruiting class?

Jeudy, because when it's all said and done, this trend of south florida WR's thinking that "all the best ones go to Bama" need to stop. Getting Jeudy (knowing how bad Saban wanted him) would have been huge for now and the long run IMO.

Losing McFarland was a blow. our inability to finish is alarming. UF &a FSU always have great NSD's. Miami's is always lackluster & unfulfilling.

No I still think Jeudy and Smith are better prospects because I think they fit the Stacey Coley role more. But Thomas and Harley will keep defenses honest and off of zoning in on Richards.

Thomas > Jeudy >>> Smith

I really believe the above statement. Until we become thick again like FSU/CLemson/The *'s/BAMA, we need some big splash plays to beat the better teams and I don't think there's a player in this class nationwide who has more ability to score suddenly than Thomas.

My only concern is - Richt chose literally the SLOWEST WR on the team to return kicks last year, literally giving away chunks and chunks of field position. We lost 4 games and 3 of those games came down to inches. I like Richt and believe he will get us there, but that single decision might have cost us one or two games last year.

As long as Richt is willing to use Thomas in the kick return game, then Thomas is the absolute best offensive player we could have gotten.

I know the other two are higher rated, but Thomas was the only WR this season who made we go "wow". And then after the showed out at the UA game...

I'd take him all day everyday over Jeudy and Smith.

In terms of what we were looking for, Thomas was the right answer. We needed speed badly and we got it.

In terms of overall skill as a receiver: 1. Jeudy 2. Thomas 3. Smith

Pure wideout im going with jeudy but thomas has that ability to score everytime he touches the ball thats something the other two arent that elite at
