There is no way as an up and coming coordinator of HC I would take the FSU job. Its so toxic it will take at least 3+ years to right that ship.

Manny is the only guy on the list I'd think would probably take the job, and despite his failure here - he can't possibly be worse than Norvell.

He'd at least get FSU back to a 7-5ish level.

Why not? They're other option is a G5 school. Don't you think coordinators see that FSU job as an immediate potential springboard for them - much moreso than a G5 school, imo. It's in a talent rich state, and we all know if you allocate the money the right way in the portal, you can transform a team overnight. Tony Elliott would be a really good hire but I'm sure he has his sights on the Clemson gig.

Tony elliot could be interesting not sure he can recruit. Georgia dc might be there best option

I really think the conversation hinges on what type of commitment FSU makes to their football program. We were never in the dire straits FSU is currently going through, but we all knew the correct commitment and coach would find success here.

I do think FSU could be dangerous in recruiting again with the right coach and everything. But if they have to pay over $50M to just get off the current staff, how much can they pay to build an elite staff? If I was say Schumann or Weiss and they gave me $50M for the roster and $25M to build the staff that would be hard to turn down.

But that’s pushing $200M for an athletic department that’s currently deep in the red to fund. They aren’t LSU or Michigan where money isn’t an object.
 
We all know the coaching circle is a brotherhood.

FSU tried to go after Kiffin while Norvell was still the HC and many don't play that sh't. I don't see them pulling anyone top-tier for this reason.

Norvell clearly isn't the guy but you don't back door someone like that and fail. Then think he will give a f'ck about putting effort in.
