Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

Genius, bro. Please let them hire this man.

Isn’t the jimbo as a genius recruiter thing overblown? It’s my understanding that at FSU, when he was OC and was widely known as the head coach in waiting, he had a huge advantage because as an assistant he had greater access to recruits than a head coach. This allowed him to build relationships that he cashed in early in his fsu tenure. But as he was further in, his recruiting took a big hit, especially his later fsu classes. Then he benefitted from the perception of that ridiculous guaranteed contract at atm. And look how well that turned out for him

All things being equal (including payola), Jimbo is a very good recruiter.

1) Jimbo left FSU because they were too poor. They’re even more poor now so why the **** would he want to be there?

2) Jimbo started the hole that they’re still trying to dig themselves out of. His team discipline and talent fell off a cliff after the title and by the time he left for A&M, they were trash.

3) Jimbo absolutely bombed at Texas 8&4. Despite getting a record salary and literally starting the trend of buying high school players with NIL money, he never won anything and was so bad the Aggies paid the largest buyout ever just to get him away from their team

That’s their dream coach.

I have Jimbo at an 85% probability of being their next coach. This $70m check is going to prevent them from doing much of anything. He will take it because the wealth from TAMU.

Jimbo left them high and dry for the same reason all these guys do, HUGE money-- salary, staff budget, recruiting budget, NIL, etc.; however, like many before him, if you don't hit on a QB, you place a ceiling on what the rest of the roster can do for you (cc: Dabo.Swinney@clemson.edu).

Similarly, while I think Jimbo is a great recruiter in so far as getting guys to sign, his evaluations his last few years at FSU and a 8&4AMU were questionable. In short, he's a has been. He had a **** of a run, and he cashed it in big time, but if he couldn't recreate it with all the resources in the world at 8&4AMU, it ain't happening at FSU. They should have gotten every penny they could have and gone after James Franklin, now they will end up with Manny, or similar.

He usually signed very highly rated classes, the development and culture is another story. I think he would elevate the roster just by not being a disaster in talent acquisition but wouldn't end well and would keep them down even longer.

Losing Memphis mike would hurt for us as Miami fans. Will be sad to see him go.

But if they hire Jimbo it’s rinse and repeat. His evals were awful at tamu and his offense is garbage. Not to mention his players had no discipline and portaled out and did nothing

If Mensah ends up in NY, they may make a run at Shannon. I think some of the very influential guys in Tampa want Hartline, but that seems unlikely to me. No chance it’s Jimbo. Manny is much more likely than Jimbo lol

I understand there are only so many head coaching jobs out there, but if you’re Shannon, is THAT the one you really want to be your first head coaching gig? Bare cupboard with no money, no OL, and having to face Mario every year and on the trail. And you know Mario would make it personally.

Can he still be a great recruiter in the NIL era without a strong ability to spend? Miami will outbid him for players. So will Florida.

It's not 2013, where he only had to worry about four or five schools engaging in significant Enhanced Recruiting.

He should have then been asked if it’s the best in the nation. And then the best of all time?
Daniels just gave their idiot fans another reason to think they have the best D-line for the 5th year in a row. Yes, it was above average in '22 and great in '23. Awful in '24 and pretty bad in '25 minus the Bama and other cupcake games. Why do they continue to think their D-line is good and one of the best in America? Their D-line has sucked the last 2 years. The Desir twins are alright, but aren't all that. They aren't as good as our guys. Who else they got on the d-line?

It’s literally not on the same planet as ours. No homer. Not a single human on earth who is remotely impartial would even entertain that statement. But it’s top half of the ACC. Which obviously isn’t saying much, but I don’t think it’s bad. It just doesn’t come within solar systems of ours.

Didn’t Nick Saban say they had the best d line in the country before they went 2-10?

Is his goofy *** really doing this or AI? I got it off the Noles 247 board.
