Research dollars are decreasing, government payments are decreasing, and staffing costs are rising exponentially. My guess, without inside knowledge but being in Boston, is that Miami is bolstered by a number of wealthy foreign patients and access to donors. I don't see any sheiks going to Tallahassee for their care.

The problem starts in high school when some dumbass high school coach cares more about winning meaningless high school games than actually preparing his players to be the best possible player. They put a guy who should be a receiver or DB at quarterback because he’s athletic enough to win games on pure scrambling ability. They want their fastest player to handle the ball on every play. Especially in areas with lesser competition, that dude can just run away from everyone and they rack up points and wins. They just have to throw well enough to keep the defense from totally abandoning pass defense.
Greedy *** coaches that want to shoot up the ladder worrying about themselves, when they are supposed to lead men. Thats why I respect coaches like coach Macho, very rare that people are real..... and are willing to help the player be the best and put him in his natural spot to succeed.
Back in the day when UM was recruiting Brandon McGee at Plantation, they wanted him as a cornerback but as a junior he was mostly playing quarterback. His senior year, Steve Davis moved him to corner full time to better prepare him for college. He was a great wing T quarterback but his best career choice was DB.
They don't most leave the city to go Mayo in Jacksonville or Shands in Gville.
