Excuse me, Coach Norvell? The back rub was nice, but this MacDonald's bag you handed me has a Happy Meal in it and there's no toy. By toy, I mean cash. Also, there's no actual toy either.
 
I used to think maybe bringing Prime in could rejuvenate that program, but now, man, I mean at our very worse, we still had hope. They literally seem hopeless and the most demoralizing part for them is that they've had and spent more money than a lot of other programs that have lapped them. It's not like they've had NO money.

They are breaking bad...

They have to absolutely nail the next hire.

People need to understand that as bad as we were for a long time, we were mostly below average to average. These guys have had like 6 losing seasons over the last 8 years. Idk who they get to come in because the top coaches are locked in right now. They’ll need to get a P4 guy who’s won at a smaller program and hope he hits it big.

Indeed just don’t get their thinking if this is what they do. They’re hoping to win in the first six games, hoping the OL/DL ‘s gel. Wishful thinking is no way to run a business or an athletic program. I their plan was to take a “ wait and see” approach, that’s a bigger disaster than firing after last season. They waste portal/recruiting opportunities, waste any goodwill they might have garnered with a clean slate. If this comes to fruition, then go for it. Continue to throw good money after bad and double down, schmucks. Like I said pass the Popcorn.🙌🏽

I think this is the only thing that makes sense unless they have some Daddy Warbucks come in all Texas Tech style and basically spend millions upon millions because this is his legacy, blah, blah, blah....

They definitely have natural attributes that lends itself towards a revitalization, but I will say - not breaking the bank to get Franklin (when it looks like he wanted to go there) is a penny-wise-pound-foolish move that will probably ****** their recovery for close to a decade or more.

And, on a personal petty note - if their fanbase had not been such pricks and made so many collectively off-putting moves, declarations and attitudes, I would be a little more sympathetic. At this point, I'm probably 2-3 seasons away from starting my, "Gee, it would be nice if they improved so that game means something again..."

The reality of last season was that they didn’t have the money to get rid of Norvell. His buyout + staff + new HC + new staff would’ve been a near $100 Million price tag. I have no doubt they’re securing the buyout money right now.

The biggest issue they have is they MUST nail the next hire. FSU has hired 4 coaches in the last 50 years. Bowden, Fisher, Taggart, and Norvell. Bowden was a great hire obviously, Jimbo was coach in waiting, and Taggart and Norvell have been disasters.

I don’t see who they bring in to turn it around. Miami was extremely lucky we had a guy like Mario out there who always wanted to come back. Seems like their best option right now is Kenny Dilingham? Maybe a top P4 coordinator like Schumann. No one’s a guarantee. Either way it’ll be a 2-3 year rebuild at minimum. They’re 10x worse from a roster standpoint than when Mario came to Miami.

Sanders has so many health issues which i wouldnt want to wish on anyone .. i dont think he ever ends up at fsu
