Noles have Ashton Daniels as their QB. 5 wins will be their ceiling. I have them with 4 wins. Maybe they get lucky like they did v Bama last year. But on 9 out of 10 Saturdays, they're not beating NC State or SMU.

Agree with SMU, but disagree with NC State

I believe SMU is clearly the better team than FSU and beats them 9 out of 10 times. I have this as FSU's "lucky" game, similar to the game against Bama last year. I don't think they beat SMU in the fashion that they beat Bama, but I think SMU is a bit overrated and might not take this game serious. SMU looked pretty bad in road games last year. I know they have some talent, but I can see FSU pulling an upset there. I'm just not buying the SMU hype this year. I might be wrong.

NC State, on the other hand, is not much better than FSU. Not sure why everybody thinks they are a solid to above average team. I think it's a toss-up if they play 10 games. They both suck. NC State is also terrible on the road. They struggled to beat that sorry FSU squad last year at home. I know the final score didn't reflect that. I watched that game last year and thought FSU did everything possible to lose. FSU had some crazy turnovers and killer penalties. Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it, but NC State is trash and I don't see much improvement from last year.

This is so stupid but I bet there is more to this than meets the eye.
1. FSU can’t possibly be disappointed that they were not selected for the NCAA tournament because that was never the expectation or even hope coming into the season. They finished the season 18-15
2. FSU had a pretty good season and should be happy with an NIT bid. It means not only more games but also more practices, and a stepping stone for next season.
3. I guarantee you the players want to keep playing. Players almost always want to play. Especially the seniors who we are to believe chose to end their careers with a loss in the conference quarterfinals instead of going out on a win and tournament championship?

4. In my cynicism, I wonder if FSU doesn’t want to pay the $$ cost of being in the NIT. In which case I hate FSU even more than before because now they are taking this away from the players while blaming the players.
You expect us to believe that if coach was excited about playing (he is after all a new coach), that the players still would have declined, or did decline the NIT? Not a chance.
