Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

In 2025’s case, FSU being a little better and Miami making the conference championship game doesn’t serve us. We don’t get an automatic bye with two losses in 2025. All we get is another game and the likelihood of a more beaten up Canes team facing its first round opponent.
it wouldn’t matter because thankfully the committee had a last minute change of heart. Had they kept Notre Dame ahead of us, missing the playoff because a stupid tie breaker where our conference opponent’s records were worse would have sucked.

I understand that superfans have to always root against rivals even if it hurts their own team. I’m just saying there is a once in a blue moon occasion where a rival winning actually helps us.

I say let them go 5-7 or 6-6 every year.We get a little help from them but us Nole haters get to laugh at their sad state of affairs plus it might keep Mikey Boy around an extra year or two.

No offense, but this is just a really dumb take. Did this year not prove that we don’t need our rivals to be good for us to be in the game? The worse the turds and the holes are the better off we are from every possible standpoint. It’s not even a question.

CIS Noles are sad and struggling, I get it.

But the die has been cast.
I really don't understand how there's any argument to be made here. When UF, FSU and Miami are all elite - we're splitting the talent pool in this state in thirds. When Miami is elite while UF and FSU are down like it is now - we pretty much get first dibs - this helps us win ships.

Wiser for FSU to set aside most available NIL resources for the next coach and let Capt. Cornrow flounder next fall rather than spend now for some 8-win season and minor bowl game that could keep him around for '27

Two main reasons we want them to fail. First off, because WE HATE THEM

I've just needed this one reason since I was 10 years old back in the 1970's.

Watching UF and FSU lose is every bit as fun as watching the Canes win. Their misery is our joy. How does their success benefit ours in any way?

It's the Yin and Yang of College Football

As nice as it is to see them bouncing off the bottom of the ACC year after year, I can say it would be better for us if they didn't suck as bad because it is a rivalry game and does help our SOS. That's not rooting for the Noles. I'm not wishing for that to happen, even if it does help us, but I can acknowledge the truth in it.

I can also love every second of their suffering because it makes me giddy like a school girl.
Disagree. With a 12 team playoff and soon to be 16 team, SOS barely matters.

When they're bad, it's better for us. Recruiting, portal, coaching, tv coverage, etc.

Then I guess we're in the right conference because the SOS of the ACC is a bad joke.

You bring up a good point, but I will just say that I will take this game by game. IF, towards the end of the year, Florida State winning a game definitely helps the Canes, I will NOT root against the Noles. I would take a 3 to nothing win, where the other team simply shoots themselves in the foot. That's as far as I will go.

I used to be one of those, "Football is better when we are all good" types. But when i moved to Central Florida and began working with so many FSU and UF fans while we were bad, I changed. They didn't give a **** about us while we were down, and they would rub it in your face any chance they got. So you know what, to **** with them. I hope they remain a dumpster fire of a program until the end of time!!!
