WHENEVER I hear this bull**** about "The SNUB!", I just recall a certain football team that was snubbed from playing for the National Championship in 2000.

THAT team came back the next year and won an undefeated National Championship with what is widely hailed as the greatest college football team of all time.

This is the correct way to handle a "snub".

I just want to say a few things here.

I've lived outside of Atlanta for four years. I live within a few miles of this so-called high school. I have driven past this high school countless times.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE.

This is how bad they are in football. In a football-crazy town, I've never heard a single thing about this school.

Help me out here, @AtlAtty or @Fluffhead , if I put a gun to your heads, would you even know about this "New Manchester High School"?

I swear, I thought it was a made up religious prep school until I found it on the map, just a few miles from my house.

How butthurt they still are about "the snub" and when they still refer to that year as 13-0 (ignoring the absolute ***-kicking they took in the Orange Bowl) really is my favorite. They can't quit overrating that team and crying in their beer about everything since then. That moment really broke them.

I almost feel bad for some of these kids they're "flipping"... if they do see the field they're going to get beat the **** up, and then the new coach is going to boot them anyway in a year or two

Never heard of it either. I assume it’s rural Georgia?

I know about New Manchester High School lol. I live about 20-25 minutes from Douglasville. I’m shocked they have any player worth an FSU scholly.

FSU sucking so bad almost cost us our playoff run. Duke made the ACC championship game because their ACC opponents had a better record than ours by one game. If FSU wasn’t absolute garbage we wouldn’t have needed the committee to pick us with the last “at large” spot.

I love watching the Seminoles suck. But when the only conference team you’re guaranteed to play every year is absolute trash, you can’t afford to slip up against anyone else. Especially with the new proposed criteria putting even more emphasis on being a conference champion. If the same exact scenario were to happen again next year, we’d be out.

Stupid tie breakers are literally the only objective reason you’d ever want FSU to have a good record. Unfortunately we live in the era of bloated conferences where not every team plays each other and stupid tie breakers are going to come into play more often than before.
