It is amazing how many MYTHS that the F$U fans build in order to justify their misguided self-image.
Look at this little exchange. The first guy correctly points out that F$U is not "all in" on NIL payments. The second guy tries to make "all in" a RELATIVE CONCEPT. He says, authoritatively, with zero proof, that FSU was in the "forefront of NIL" and was "easily top 5 in the beginning". Sadly, neither statement is true. While F$U may have been in the "forefront" of THE TRANSFER PORTAL "in the beginning" (when most schools were not using the Portal like they are today), F$U has NEVER been in the "forefront" or even the "easily top 5 in the beginning". This is a flat-out lie that F$U fans try to tell themselves to understand/conceptualize the drop-off of the last 2 years. As if they were paying "top dollar" in 2023, but then went cheap in 2024 and 2025.
It's just not true. F$U was NEVER a top-dollar payor. Instead, F$U went out and scoured the landscape for cheap transfer guys like Jared Verse from SUNY-Albany. And, hey, they did a very good job of that. But let's not pretend like F$U landed Jared Verse by paying him some huge NIL amount. That's just not true.
The funniest part of the whole excuse was that F$U was trying to attract P2 interest. And while that may be true, F$U would have made a HELLUVA LOT MORE MONEY simply by succeeding in the ACC in 2025 and winning a few CFP games in 2025.
Like Miami did.
Thanks to F$U's lawsuit.
Whoops.
