Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

At this point, does FSU even have the money to pay Manny Diaz a competitive contract after they buy out Corn-Row Mike?

And if you're Manny, why the **** would you leave Duke, where winning 7+ games a year gets you permanent job security, for FSU in its decrepit, morbid state?

Any adjectives to speak of how much FSU has fallen don't do it justice.
To add onto that, if Manny can consistently win 7-8 games at Duke, he can eventually be positioned for other P4 gigs. From his perspective, he has to see the challenges at FSU where they're not able to commit financially to succeed. He knows he'll be on the hot seat from a fanbase perspective by year 3 when he's getting the same results as Norvell.

Somehow worse than I imagined.....I think my 4 year old could come up with something better....your favorite memory is the guys wry smile? He really typed that

The "wry smile" before he "dialed up some crazy ****"...

Except...WHAT WAS THE CRAZY ****...EXACTLY?

Gus called TWO end-arounds for Micahi Danzy, both of which succeeded. Other than that...let's see...he called running plays...and he called passing plays...the only thing that might have "worked" that was unanticipated was when Castellanos chose to run from the pocket. That was it. He was quick and elusive and he made some of the downfield tacklers miss him.

Other than that, Gus Bus had no special game plan, he didn't "dial up some crazy ****" that Alabama had never seen before. He called two plays to Danzy that may have seemed unusual, only because Danzy hadn't played that much.

Everything else was normal. But, ooooohhhhhh, that "wry smile"...

He would be stupid to leave

It is amazing how many MYTHS that the F$U fans build in order to justify their misguided self-image.

Look at this little exchange. The first guy correctly points out that F$U is not "all in" on NIL payments. The second guy tries to make "all in" a RELATIVE CONCEPT. He says, authoritatively, with zero proof, that FSU was in the "forefront of NIL" and was "easily top 5 in the beginning". Sadly, neither statement is true. While F$U may have been in the "forefront" of THE TRANSFER PORTAL "in the beginning" (when most schools were not using the Portal like they are today), F$U has NEVER been in the "forefront" or even the "easily top 5 in the beginning". This is a flat-out lie that F$U fans try to tell themselves to understand/conceptualize the drop-off of the last 2 years. As if they were paying "top dollar" in 2023, but then went cheap in 2024 and 2025.

It's just not true. F$U was NEVER a top-dollar payor. Instead, F$U went out and scoured the landscape for cheap transfer guys like Jared Verse from SUNY-Albany. And, hey, they did a very good job of that. But let's not pretend like F$U landed Jared Verse by paying him some huge NIL amount. That's just not true.

The funniest part of the whole excuse was that F$U was trying to attract P2 interest. And while that may be true, F$U would have made a HELLUVA LOT MORE MONEY simply by succeeding in the ACC in 2025 and winning a few CFP games in 2025.

Like Miami did.

Thanks to F$U's lawsuit.

Whoops.

They fell further than we ever have. It’s like they have sanctions or some ****. They guessed wrong on Mike and we all knew that. He got on the portal early but when the heavy hitters joined in the following year, it was over for them. And that season was the worse thing to happen to them. It’s like Manny or Golden having a great year and Miami paying them. Glad we lost so this never happened to us. They can’t come back from this

Yea it’s crazy that all of college football is thinking that Duke job>FSU job and we’re not talking about basketball. When you got your recruiting coordinator going on Twitter and literally begging any unsigned players to “give them a look” that is just so unprofessional. It’s amateur hour at it’s finest.

It brings me great pleasure to see them all suffer., however, in the long-term is this what we want?

What used to be a great will turn into an old-time Big East UM-Rutgers annual beat-down.

It's a conundrum.

We only have so few meaningful regular season games.
Yes. We only have so many regular season games, so adding what will in essence be a bye in the future becomes even more invaluable
