Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

On the TD run by Mendoza, when they showed the replay, right at the beginning of the run Bain was the one that was applying the pressure and you could clearly see he was being wrapped up around the shoulder and neck. No call of course

Would have ruined a perfectly good Sports Illustrated cover...

Don't believe anybody foresaw how nasty the B10 vs SEC feud would become. That "working together" saga went out the window and now the CFP format battle has each side entrenched. Crazy that the B10 seriously wants a 24 team playoff ... that is just way too many. You would have 8-4 teams all over the mid and bottom tiers. 16 should be the max.

At the end of this all, it simply doesn't matter whether 24 teams are "too much" or "not enough".

The reality is that the "bowl games" must end, and be replaced by games that actually mean something. Games that people will watch, even if the matchups are not as stellar as "Big 12 Number 6 vs. ACC Number 7".

Yes, that means a lot of 8-4 teams. So what. The NCAA has finally realized what I've said for decades, that the bowl games are absolute crap. Sure, some of the bowl games are more creative than others, the Pop-Tarts/Cheez-It productions are better than most. But that's no justification to continue scrapping for desperate sponsors for such games as the Gronk Bowl and the Jimmy Kimmel Bowl and the Poulan Weedeater Bowl (in the middle of winter, really?).

Kill the conference championship games, kill the bowl games, make every post-season game count.

**** it if some of the games turn into blowouts. Is that sooooo different from "Rivalry Week"? Or Army-Navy? Or most bowl games?

Any more than 16, the season would be too long. **** we finishing the week before the NFL Conference Championship games now.

Wonder if they're trying to get to the D3 model - 32 team playoff bracket including 8 play-in games. 48 team playoff where the teams in the NC game will have played 15 games.

The B1G (Fox) wants to expand enough to trigger the renegotiation of the playoff TV contract. The SEC is standing at 16 on behalf of their benefactor ESPN, who currently own the rights and would continue to.

It has nothing to do with football reasons.

They would have to expand the rosters and scholarships to accommodate the bodies needed for injuries and fatigue and attrition. Just sayin’
Nah ... eliminate conference championship and bowl games. OR have the conf championship games as part of the CFP.

This guy is their player evaluation expert. I don’t think he ever called Bain great, more like a good college player with potential that led him to arguing with others on their board. He basically said Bain flashed his first year, was average last year and still can’t admit Bain was dominant this year.

Same guy getting cooked by their fans and can’t handle it because he’s consistently hyped up Darrell Jackson for years
