This guy is their player evaluation expert. I don’t think he ever called Bain great, more like a good college player with potential that led him to arguing with others on their board. He basically said Bain flashed his first year, was average last year and still can’t admit Bain was dominant this year.

He’s an idiot , yes the games he didn’t show out they was doubling him , holding and cutting him which freed up other players . Maybe he don’t understand the game of football being a team sport if he takes 2 blockers others are free to clean up .

When you’re trying to count games that a player was “elite” in …. And there’s several … that player is elite. This moron just won’t say he’s elite; which makes him look retarded.

Once we left the ACC refs behind Bain played his best ball. Coincidence? Also the better the team played the better he played. I think that has to do with the opposition being confident in their players and letting him be singled up against their tackles. Bad idea. And it showed. The ACC just said yeah we can’t block him. Double him every play and hold on for dear life. Literally

Being in the playoffs was somewhat eye-opening in just how poor the ACC referees are. There needs to be some sort of overhaul here, and absent that - if improvements are refused or it even gets worse - chalk it up as at minimum a secondary reason to eventually leave the ACC.

Not only did he play somewhat better in the playoffs, but didn't we also get a penalty in our favor for a holding call on Bain every game except Ole Miss?

I can't remember how many penalties for holding on Bain we got during the regular season. Seems like maybe 1-2 for the entire regular season. FSU basically tackled him 5 times in a row and they didn't call a single one.

There was still a lot of holding of him in the playoffs even though they did call one in each game I believe.

I think with Bain he’s being held 98% of the time and the officials just don’t want to call it every down.I can only think that this is the reason cause him he’s NOT held most every play chances are he'd of had 30 sacks a year.

On the TD run by Mendoza, when they showed the replay, right at the beginning of the run Bain was the one that was applying the pressure and you could clearly see he was being wrapped up around the shoulder and neck. No call of course
