Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

I think it's crazy that Norvell doesn't have the self reflection to understand that this is literally burying him for his career.

I get he has forever money, but if just walks away now with a 25 percent reduced exit fee, he can selvage his career elsewhere.

Al Golden still hasn't been a head coach anywhere. Randy Shannon too.

They are in a uniquely shlty place with a coach who cannot acquire talent, no money to acquire talent or a coach who can, a huge buyout making the former problems worse, and high debt further exasperating all of the other issues.

While we have seen a similar show play out down here, we were never as bad as they are right now. Think about how hard Mario has had to work just to get us where we are now. Even with the right hire and their administration aligned, it will be years before they can compete at a high level again.

To put it in perspective, it is a shtly football program from a shtly football conference sitting inside the SEC, and they depend heavily on Georgia and South Florida for talent.
Good luck, but I don't feel sorry for them given their behavior and shenanigans towards our program when we were down.
And this goes for all of the FSU shills who live in soFla trying to send our best to that school.

What is a "UT Permian Basin"? Sounds like a site where people dig up dinosaur bones.

It's a directional University of Texas school. A new campus. In the Permian Basin. ****, I think the only reason I even know the name is because of Friday Night Lights or maybe Landman.

West Texas. Almost New Mexico.

Agreed.
Al Golden has at least re shaped himself via coaching rehab. Shannon is long gone, but Norvell has been HC for 6 years? And everyone and their mother knows his buyout is the only reason you have a job, and nobody wants to play or work for you.
Even Golden and Shannon were most successfully then he was.

Isn’t golden the dc for the bengals ?

Norvell is a colossal failure and nowhere near the coach that Golden is. Can you imagine ANY elite program hiring Norvell as a coordinator? Golden learned a lot in the NFL and then earned major respect for the job he did as DC at ND. Norvell's greatest achievement was getting a contract extension due to great QB play that he inherited.

It's comical how bad FSU has gotten considering the inherent advantages of being a Florida school and their history. Like you have to work to be that putrid.

Even in 2007 with Shannon when UVA blew us out 48-0 or 2022 in Mario's first year when MTSU was dropping bombs on us every pass play, those teams would kick this FSU team's ***.

Mike Norvell has to be FSU’s punishment from the football gods. Payback for all the Bobby Bowden hypocrisy.
Makes you wonder what things would like if they hadn't dumped Willie Taggart so quickly. He was bad, but he wasn't THIS bad. If they had even waited one more year, how would things have played out differently with different coaches available the following cycle?

Or not extended Norvell with a contract with harder terms to get out of than the ACC GOR.

Small part as in the "water was cold" small?
