Bud said their 2026 season is a gauntlet and it doesnt make much sense to have a new coach endure it. Feels like the 2026 season is the FSU boosters throwing norvell to the wolves. Norvells reputation (if he has one) will tank if so which theoretically maybe a positive for the boosters if the 2026 season was a wash anyways with a new coach. Will be interesting how it plays out. Does norvell try and finish this season strong so he gets poached by one of the many openings? or does he fall on the sword and ruin his reputation with a losing 2025 and 2026 season making his coaching career bascially restart in a G5 or Big 12 school in 2027

Many of us have been saying that FSU is going to be facing a tough time beyond this year. There's really no hope for them for the foreseeable future. No competent QB on the roster. No good trench depth. Starters on offense are all one year rentals. Recruiting has been bad. etc etc.

They are set up to have a tough 2-3 year stretch.
