His reputation is already toast. He isn’t getting poached by anyone. No one would pay a buyout to get him. After he gets fired- sometime in the next 18 months he will end up at a mid major and go back to being mid.
 
He will be fired at the end of the 2027 season. I just can’t see them eating this buyout given the financial situation they have seemed to have there. It’s not just his $50m they also need to pay off Gus and Tony White who I assume have big deals. And no coach is giving them a deal for less than Norvell got so it’s another $100m check.

The bets are insane these days. Glad it’s UF and FSU. Imagine if they get it wrong another time? They’d be dead programs for the foreseeable future.

Mario at 8 guaranteed for 10 years is looking like the deal of the decade right now.

He'll probably get a raise this off-season. Deservedly if this season progresses like it should.

Oh for sure but you know he’s getting a reset on those years +$2m a year lol especially if this trends how it’s trending.

Many of us have been saying that FSU is going to be facing a tough time beyond this year. There's really no hope for them for the foreseeable future. No competent QB on the roster. No good trench depth. Starters on offense are all one year rentals. Recruiting has been bad. etc etc.

They are set up to have a tough 2-3 year stretch.

I agree, it’s also just a monumental financial commitment for FSU, after the massive financial outlays they’ve laid out and will have to pay over these next few years. Norvell is there until December 2026 at least imo. Miami will continue to be light years ahead, and even the Gator will have some hope.

Remember when Dana Holgerson left WVU for Houston? Could see him doing something like that. If he waits he’s screwed and no one will hire him
