They play man and zone. I believe Beck will pick them apart in zone. If Dawson plays a tight WR rotation it will be harder to take advantage of them in man. In my opinion, we get better separation with a bigger rotation. 2 of our starters aren't good with seperation, but one of those is a boss with 50/50 balls. Beck is very good at ball placement with intermediate and short passes, where he will get them in zone. His deep and sometimes flat passes, need work. When he has no pressure, he can be really good. I will guess we double team Jackson at NT like UVA did and they get no pressure. They will try some blitzes and Beck should make them pay. I am sure they saved something not on tape to throw ar us. Everyone does.

They don't play much man. They're mostly a zone team. I think that plays into our hands. Where we struggle is against press man, I don't think we have the horses at receiver to win over and over again against good DBs (UiF, for example), but if you can't generate a pass rush and sit in zone, I expect our kids and QB to find soft spots for completions. I thought Chandler Morris got way too aggressive at times, but he still completed 74% of his passes on the (26 for 35).

Run the ball, control the clock, keep ahead of the chains, complete passes in soft spots of zones, and score points.

Honestly, with press man against decent corners, I think all of our guys struggle with separation - that was also the case last year. I still like our guys but their strength is against a zone defense.

CJ, Moore, Marian need to win some of those. Toney if we can get a mismatch vs LB. Maybe Lofton vs DB.

Honestly, it's the CJ and Toney show from here on out. I think Marion, Moore and hopefully Trader can win some on occasion but need CJ and Toney to continue to ball out.
Moore has a high ceiling and the bye weeks should get him much needed reps vs our DBs which is a good thing.

Lofton with more time should mean more health and reps.

Marian is who he is.

Trader is the biggest unknown for college. Kid clearly has tons of talent but needs to want it on week days, too.

Lofton on the wheel route should be done this game
Beck is just going to have to look of the safeties or audible when he knows it's man. FSU ran a alot of zone and I expect them to play 2 high vs us. Some of those wheel windows can get tight.

Last year we ran a alot of mesh of a drag, streak, wheel combo in bunch or trips. Got us a lot of penalties, but I liked it then.

I could see the 2 back twins working wheel here as well if the RB sells the flat into a wheel. We've put the flat route on tape already. Same with a TE leaking.

One thing I saw KC run vs ravens is a bubble screen/RPO but the outside guy faking the block and running the slant. Think we can get them over pursue with something like that too. They tried vs UVA a ton
