Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

They'll definitely still land more portal guys no doubt. They have the rep of portal kings they can use to keep selling it. But end of the day that is A LOT of attrition and it's pretty normal for them to take a step back next year. But we gotta be more concerned with what we're doing like finding a qb worth a **** and finding more bona fide game breakers at WR, DT, and the secondary.

They can but the competition is going to much tougher now. Jermaine Johnson and Jared Verse basically fell in there laps, Benson sounds like he went there becuase he was mad at Mario. That won’t happen so easily again.

Portal kings is great. But they all have to hit too. Can they land 10-15 portal guys, all hit and keep young recruits happy.

Throw in the fact that Jordan still makes everything go. He is a solid passer but he keeps so many plays alive the extra 2-3 seconds which takes its toll over time.

Norvell is a good coach, but he's the type of coach that'll consistently get you 7-9 wins with the occasional 10+ win season when things go right. Right now, things are going right, and he hit on his transfer targets. He was definitely the first to recognize how valuable the portal was and benefited from that tremendously. However, like you said, it's going to be much much tougher. A lot of schools recognize the value of the portal now. To sustain their current level of winning, they'd need to nail 15-20 high-quality guys in the portal. Possible, but not probable. Their HS Talent also hasn't been great, their last three classes were ranked 23rd, 20th, and 19th. Not close to good enough to sustain what they're doing right now. They do have the #3 class right now, so we'll have to see how well that sticks.

Will also say our game was surprisingly competitive. Their fans are saying that they we're "dominant" but the stat line doesn't show that at all. And the argument that we only stayed in it because of "a few plays" is pathetic. That's literally football. A few plays is all you need to win a game. They should know that since it's how they escaped BC, Clemson, and us.

They're a good team right now, just think they're massively overrated and will lose either in the ACC Championship/CFP Round 1.

They should've kicked our ***. If we got the safety and the ball back or the hold was better on the missed FG, it could've been much different. Don't let them lie.

If Miami had a capable offense Miami would have won

Its the same reason FSU beat Clemson
I think their fans are genuinely surprised this game was close. They beat the **** out of us last year. This year we had a True Freshman QB in his first road start, a bunch of True Freshman playing on O and D, and some terrible matchups, particularly at WR/DB. They expected a blowout. Not to mention their team is better than last year. The word "dominant" (even if the CFP apparently used it) doesn't describe our game. We were evenly matched on the stat line.

They are a good team, but nowhere near as good as they think. UGA had a scare. Michigan had a scare. OSU had a scare. FSU's had about four scares at this point. I think they'll end up losing in the ACC Championship to UL or getting beat in Round 1 of the CFP.

The bad hold and terrible call cost us 5 points. It's a very different game in the 4Q if we're down 25-27 compared to 20-27. Would change our offensive playcalling and gave us a chance to win the game outright with a FG. But it's a big if, plenty of ifs could've gone their way too.

They'll land portal guys but they won't be Travis, Coleman, and Benson level.

I think Jaheim Bell goes to the NFL too.

They hit the jackpot with those guys. Don't think it'll be happening, to that level, again. Add that to their subpar recruiting the past three years (23rd, 20th, and 19th ranked classes), and they'd have to nail 10-15 really solid players in the portal to sustain success. That's assuming injury luck and them panning out.

They do have the #3 class at the moment, so let's see if that sticks. However, beyond Jordan Travis, they haven't really shown an ability to develop their younger guys.

Completely agree. If Washington wins this weekend against Oregon St., I think they will leapfrog FSU for #4. It'd be short-lived though. Lucky for FSU (on top of the insane amount of luck they've had all year), Michigan or OSU is dropping from the Top 4 once that game is played. If they win, they're in. If they lose to UF or Louisville, they're out. They'd go to a really good NY6 bowl, but they'd probably have a ton of guys sit it out.

That team is so **** overrated it’s ridiculous. They beat LSU and that’s about it. And I don’t think they’d beat LSU right now if they had to play them again. Daniels has settled in and looks good.

FSU is ranked #4, with UW, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Mizzou and Louisville to round out the Top 10. Every single one of those teams would beat the **** out of FSU save for mayyyybe Louisville - UL would win but it would be close.

If they somehow make it past UL and get to the CFP, they will be annihilated by UGA or OSU - whichever ends up ranked #1. Travis will get killed trying to extend plays against those defenses.

More than 60% of their starts are from transfers. They're losing at least 90% of their offensive production going into next year. I think Norvell is a good coach, but no amount of raiding the portal can make up for that attrition. They also haven't done a lot on the development end, and their talent (their last three classes were ranked 23rd, 20th, and 19th) is nowhere near good enough. I don't just think they're gonna take a step back, I think it's gonna be a huge step back.
It also doesn’t matter how bad they raid the portal.
Even with all that alleged talent they have right now, it wouldn’t mean jack sht if Travis wasn’t back there running and improvising.

Look at what that high powered offense wasn’t able to do against our defense when Travis was kept in check.
Unless norvell pulls a rabbit out of a hat, they’re do for a huge drop and he knows it.

The bill always comes due. Their last three classes were ranked 23rd, 20th, and 19th. No amount of raiding the portal can cover that up. They do have the #3 class this year, but lets see how it sticks. All in all, they're losing basically their entire offense and losing a bunch of guys on D. Their fans don't know it yet but they're going to have a massive dropoff next year. At minimum they'll be 11-2 after this year. They're a 7-5 team next year (they've also got a pretty decent schedule).

Any other team in the top 5 would have hammered us.

I don't think anyone in the country hammers us if we don't turn the football over. If that defense gets a chance to catch their breath on the sidelines and the offense doesn't put them in quick change/short field situations, I think they can hold their own against anyone in America.
