Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

Roddy Jones was on Navarros pod sucking off Norvell and fsu. Some key takeaways according to him:

- FSU grew up with their win over Duquesne
- Norvell is the portal king behind Saban
- Guys looked like they knew what they were doing
- FSUs 3 RBs may not be athletic but they’re great
- Certainly good enough for a bowl game and “maybe more”
Their RB threesome (he said that) are as good as there is in the league, including Clemson, even though they are not as athletic as Clemson's RB's or ours.
Also, the gap between 2 and 10 is not that big. (Paws)

For a GTech grad Jones isn’t that bright. He was fully on board with Manny last season. Now Norvell.

Not being sarcastic but there’s national optimism for fsu. Just listening to various pods, the sense is it’ll be a much improved team.

Stewart Mandel picked them to beat lsu outright.

This is setting up some glorious tears.

They were better in 2021 than they were in 2020, and they'll be better in 2022 than they were in 2021. Norvell is a good coach. Always has been. The problem is, and again, always has been since Day 1 at FSU, is he is a poor recruiter and didn't surround himself with good recruiters to off-set that. So the ceiling is very capped at FSU because they're not going to be able to acquire the talent needed to get back to where they were. It's the reason we should all root for Norvell to be somewhat successful. The longer they keep him, the better for us. Because they'll probably be competent to even decent/good under him, but they'll never be great because he can't recruit at the level you need to in order to win championships and scare the playoffs.

I didnt watch the whole FSU game but I saw enough to know that Travis should stick to what works and thats dink, dunk and run. Those windows vs his 1's will be much different with the LSU D'line give you 1.37 seconds (since FSU loves drop back times). I think they are better...but its so minimal it wont be noticed much. Maybe instead of needing a no call to beat Syracuse they beat them outright this year by 10. They might sneak up to 7 wins. But the question is who Qb's this team next year...because Rodemaker isnt it.

Mike Norvell is the fastest guy at a strength competition.

There are traits that carry over and are relevant to both skills, but he’ll never be great at what he’s there to do.

Here's the crazy thing about FSU's current situation: If FSU doesn't get past 6 wins this year that'll be five years in a row of 6 wins or less. For reference, as bad as Miami has been the last two decades we haven't gone more than 1 year with 6 wins or less since 1979. I don't know how FSU fans won't carry him out of the city if they don't win 7/8 games this year. If they keep beating the, "He's gonna turn it around", drum after that then they have absolutely lost their minds. I can't believe they haven't already carried out the entire athletic department.

Aka Mullen at UF.
