He got fired after going 8-14 in a year and a half. A move that Pete Garcia got lambasted over. Looking back at that, 8-14 is killing at FIU.

And then "He would've been fired had he stayed..." is using some major hyperbole to try and drive your point. To say it's quite the reach is an understatement.

8-14 sounds awfully familiar ....

pretty sure this guy is knocking on the door of 8-14 himself

We have the biggest, and nicest IFP in the state. It's incredible they can't process this. It's 130 yards over two fields (90 and 40 yards) which allows multiple position groups to do end zone work. It might be the most functional facility in all of CFB and it cost 2x FSU's.

You have no idea how ignorant you sound right now do you? Norvell is one of if not the best recruiters fsu has had in a decade. Besides saban, there's nobody better. Sure, he may not land any 5* players, but he's pulling in a ton of 4*. Ok, not exactly a ton, but really a lot. Several? Whatever, all those 3* kids are underrated and worth more than the 5*s anyway, everybody knows that. He's a very good recruiter, all the fsu fans say so. And it's not just that they can't bear the soul-crushing pain of admitting they've made another terrible hire either. Wait until you see that 2024 class, then you'll realize just how wrong you were.
Lol yeah, don’t you know that two 3 star players is better than one 5 star player? 3x2=6 6>5.

Chess, not checkers.

This is what they have to tell themselves, repeatedly, so they don’t have to come to terms with having an 8-13 coach and four straight losing seasons.

The old tropes of the past aren’t applicable to our program anymore. We are better funded, resourced, and led than they are. They had to declare bankruptcy a few years ago and can’t pay for new urinals in their own stadium. We have a top AD, top ten paid HC in CFB, and have hired an architectural firm to get the ball rolling on a half billion dollar stadium and sports complex. The fact is, they’re going nowhere with Norvell. They barely have a top 15 class because they’ve loaded up on a ton of three stars. Meanwhile Miami and UF are making moves.

The gators are no friends of ours. They’re arrogant of course. But FSU, that’s a whole other level of delusion unseen in CFB. They can hang onto 31-28 as long as they want. It was that loss that got us everything we have now. There isn’t a better example right now of someone winning a battle but losing the war.

And to think, FSU's athletes are generally undersized. A 90 yard field for them might appear to be really closer to 270 yards.
