What kind of response to is this? Josh Norman was a 5th rounder just because he played in FCS and we don’t even know if the kid is that good. There’s plenty of guys that played HBCU ball that were taste draft picks and fought their way into rosters because they had to prove they were as good as everybody else.

Josh Norman was also SLOW. He wanted to transfer to Georgia, so he can play better competition. He got drafted in the 5th round, and only made the money he made because he was a zone corner playing in Carolina's system. Once he went to Washington, and got in a more man heavy system, he got lit up.

Speak it into existence CN40

It's cheating when Bama, A&M, Clemson, Ohio State and all the rest pay to sign top black recruits, but folks accept it cause how that's how the game has worked since schools figured out signing black players made their teams better.

But a top kid picks an HBCU — which have been serving black people for like 100 years or more — and all of a sudden it's a travesty that's gonna wreck CFB.

If people can't see the hypocrisy and paternalism in that mindset, there's not much to say.

Just wish since Travis Hunter was set on going the HBCU route, he would've picked Bethune-Cookman instead of Jackson State.
I wholeheartedly agree with 99% of your statement (except the Bethune part, LOL)...

This reeks of some background BS from FSU. The kid and his family are lifelong fans. Flipping last minute is one thing, but the disrespect of the hat toss seemed personal. What the heck is Norvelllllll doing over there???
He tossed the UGA hat too..just like ppl on this very board had their panties in a bunch over Wes throwing the U upside down..these are kids man. It’s just the trend. It’s what they do🤷🏾‍♂️. Don’t read too much into it

Who cares what happens to the kid? If it was Barstool money that got him there, great. Maybe Prime works with him personally and turns him into a 1st rounder. Maybe going FCS hurts his draft stock. Maybe he flops altogether. He’s either gonna be a success or cautionary tale. Either way he made that decision for himself. Plus he’s not at FSU and just embarrassed them on national tv on a level never before seen on signing day. Just enjoy it.
