Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

It **** interesting that Leavittobeaver stayed with Criscoballs in sunny Orgeron rather than follow Ph@gfart to FSPoo

You nailed it! Oregon comes out the winner here and it's not even close!

Oregon's plan worked.

Nice move by Knight. He never offered Taggart more money, just an extension. Taggart dips and they hire Mario and Leavitt for less than what they were paying Willie.

FSU looking real funny in the light

Miami came out the winner, but not Oregon. Sure they saved money but in the end they have Cristobal as their corch and had to pay Leavitt ridiculous money because even they know that this position maybe too much for him. Phil Knight is ****ed about all of this.

You do realize Mario is a great liar and coached under Nick Saban for several years. He is a better HC than Taggart

All that tells me is that Mario probably is superior in recruiting to Taggart. In general both are good recruiters but what in the world makes you think that Mario is better in anyway shape or form. Mario is 47 and a first time HC, he is getting roughly 40% less than Taggart was getting at Oregon and he is only 41. Based on those numbers and the fact that they shelled out retarded money for Leavitt, lets you know where everybody stands with Mario. Its a win for Miami, a **** position for FSU and complete dumpster fire for Oregon. We win because even though by all metrics Taggart is better than Mario, Taggart is nothing special, he is an Al Golden hire. He will say all the right **** but what has he really accomplished? We also win because Leavitt would have given a major credibility boost to Taggart's staff but Phil Knight outbid them. Both programs had to make major compromises and I guarantee neither is ecstatic where they stand right now. You think if Jimbo doesn't stretch this out and FSU starts the coaching search back when coaches like Chip and others were available, they still have Taggart #1 ? This whole thing ended going about as well as possible for us as it possibly could.

I agree completely. Hopefully Tate, Patrick and McFadden jump ship to deplete them a bit more. You think Blackman hangs around to be a backup or leaves for greener pastures in the offseason?

Blackman returns home to resume the family business of pirating container ships off the coast of Africa.

Mario was the HC at FIU for 5 years

My fault, you are correct

The only time Tagfart has ever been associated with even a decent defense was this year at Oregon.

Before Leavitt, Tagfart's teams never even thought about trying to slow anyone down. Unless they pull a miracle and some high-end DC falls into their lap, FSU is going to be a sieve on defense under Tagfart. This Leavitt news is crippling to them no matter what kind of spin they put on it.

FSU's saving grace is that they're talented up front. But they're not bringing much this class and are going to lose Sweat to the draft, and Burns is a Junior next year (likely headed to the NFL). Their LB core is thin and they lose a good amount of their secondary. Amazing how much they're going to lose.

They won’t have to lose any talent to be garbage on defense under Tagfart.

If they don’t land a miracle hire at DC like Tagfart did with Leavitt at Oregon then Tagfart will eat **** defensively. It’s what he’s done every year as a HC. It won’t miraculously change just because FSU has more talent than WKU and USF because, relative to the teams he played at those places, he had good talent.

The fact that Taggart couldn't recruit Leavitt to FSU is a huge red flag. This guy has Black Al Golden written all over him.

Trojan people saying woodley going to Fsu. Guess will see

Anybody talking about the demise of FSU recruiting will be disappointed. I think Taggart should do well in that department but that’s not the problem here. The problem is that this guy hasn’t proven anything on the field yet. He is hanging his hat on his start at Oregon this year before the QB got injured and that is similar to Golden using the excuse that he never won his conference at Temple because his starting RB. Got injured. Fans will make excuses for their guy, we did it for Golden and they are doing it for Taggart. There is nothing out there that suggests Taggart is a good football coach, nothing.

FSU always recruits well! Always!! Taggert will continue that. The big question is his on the field coaching and in game

Willie Taggert has about 2 years to prove he can be the guy at FSU or he's done and here's why.

This job is much different than taking over a crappy Western Kentucky or USF team that needs to be rebuilt.

FSU doesn't need to be rebuilt. He's walking into a great situation where you got 4 and 5 star guys at virtually every position. You have Francois returning , 5 *Cam Akers, some good receivers and on defense some guys that can get after it. Remember say defense was suppose to be their strong point this year

I know some will say "wait till he gets his guys in there" problem is the guys already on the team are better than he would have recruited.

Unless you completely bomb, no one fires a coach in 2 or 3 years.

McSharkfxxer would beg to disagree.
