Even IF the land was available it's totally cost prohibitive. They had a difficult time coming up with just 34-35M for the IPF. Add in the fact that the student body runs about 11-12k - by contrast, UCF has 66k - and the alumni base isn't near what some of the big state schools are, the U would more than likely have to come up with the funding themselves. No way they should/would incur that type of debt.There's absolutely NO room for a on campus stadium...entire campus is only 220 acres...
* Coral Gables would NEVER allow it
* Roads would be a complete F-ing nightmare if we even had the acreage...
* US1 and the Palmetto ain't cutting it...
