Jimbo and Manny are the equivalent of us in 2015 after firing Golden and our options being Butch (retread) and Richt (alum).

Manny would have them respectable at 7-10 wins every year. Just based on the way he plays defense, and he's learned that he needs a wide-open offense to compliment his aggressive style. I don't think he would have the 13-1 ceiling (Mike doesn't have that anymore in this NIL landscape - he was lucky to get ahead of it), and he probably would never go 2-10 or anything close to that. All that goes out the window if they move to SEC or B1G. He could definitely go 2-10 in those conferences. ACC he would be fine and do enough there to probably stick for a decade.

Please let it happen.

Like Dabo, Bowden, for all the talk of him being a devout man, was a POS person when it came to football.
Total disrespect for him and his kind and for any Cane who respected him (there are many).

Hope he does get the job so you guys can be proven wrong. So I can tell every Manny guy, I told you he’s dog ****.

This is the sole reason I hope he gets the job. So they can hurt in recruiting just like we did. So that what if Manny had more time **** can be dead forever

The manny myths are like that fly you killed 5 times but he keeps coming back. You could of sworn you killed him but he just doesn’t go away

If he goes there - I hope you’re right.

But I like Manny, my casual family members liked him. They don’t know Cristobal’s name (for better or for worse) but new Manny’s. He will get a lot of love in Tally if he takes the job.

what specifically do you like? Him leaving our roster on par with the likes of FIU/LT/MTSU? His degrading of our internal culture to the point where he allowed kids like Jeff Thomas to leave for another school and come back like there was no problem? M&M breaks at practice? 1,000 yards of offense by UNC? Him parading around as Miami’s “first Cuban coach” that doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish and went by Manny ‘Knapp’ in school rather than ‘Diaz’? Him getting the job OF HEAD FOOTBALL COACH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI because his former Mayor dad pulled some strings?

What specifically about Manny Diaz should we like?

His charm and personality. I agree he didn’t do well here…

I don’t mean to go off but that faux charm just doesn’t work on me anymore. Anyone can talk a big game with a confident smile, but actions and results speak for themselves.

He fits well at a nerdy program like Duke, but he isn’t built for a prime time program.

Alright, this is nothing personal, but sometimes I feel like people are too quick to post, and don't pay enough attention to context.

First, this is F$U Tears.

Second, I pulled an F$U post about it being a "false narrative" that F$U is "punting on 2026", when it is obvious that "punting on 2026" is actually true.

Third, the F$U post was about the Portal. It was not about the blue chip index, it was not about high school recruits.

Finally, the F$U post was forcused on the "names" they are "bringing in from the Portal". But as facts and results have proven, F$U substantially underbid for all the Portal "names" that they "brought in", particularly at quarterback.

Here is the reality. F$U had the 28th ranked Portal class in 2026. They had THREE transfers with a 4-star rating OUT OF TWENTY-THREE. That's not how you turn things around from 2-10 and 5-7. It's just not. The F$U post claiming a "false narrative" about 2026 was based on delusional hopes and dreams that the "names" F$U was pursuing would actually choose F$U for cheap, and that was never going to happen.
