Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

I want them at 5-7 with a win over UF, a good showing against Bama, a first road win in 3 years lol, and Mario playing murder ball in the second half to keep the final score somewhat respectable.

That way the Admin can convince themselves to keep Norvell because of the “progression” and we can watch that fan base further lose hope.

FSU must be convinced they are getting into Big Ten or SEC in the next 2 to 3 years.

That would kinda make sense I guess. You’re not going to burn money firing him and his staff, and hiring another staff that you probably can’t pay a ton for anyway.

Just play out the string until you get to the new conference, the major cash infusion, and start a whole new day then.

It would suck to be an FSU fan if that’s what they are doing. But I guess from an organization standpoint there’s some logic to it. Almost like purposely losing in baseball.

Last year they opened up the playbook and went for style points to try and generate buzz. It worked but anyone paying attention knew it was fraudulent buzz. This year they did the opposite. Kept in vanilla. But it exposed the same issue. That team is mid at best and can’t out talent even the weakest of opponents.
Oh, they tired to open up the playbook against NMSU. They reverses, wide receiver screens, all types of window dressing. It didn’t work. They gave up and just ran the ball over and over in the second half.

Coach Richt IS a class act as a human being. Outstanding man. As an OC however he was a bit outdated in his thinking and approach to GAME PLANNING. I recall one interview in which he was questioned "Coach, you run the same 6 offensive plays all game long, why not get more creative?". His response "those 6 plays WORK if they are executed properly".

I recall going to Boston to the UM / BC game (BC won 27-14). Manny and Coach Richt almost came to blows. It was the worst offensive "game plan / execution" I had ever seen by Miami. That was THE GAME that effectively ended Coach Richt's tenure. He was "out of gas. His best game was by far the 2017 ND game. Epic.
I’d argue that Mark Richt’s offensive success went out the window when Brad Kaaya left early. There was a late season window in 2016 when we were absolutely explosive. 466 yards and 37 points per game over the last five games that year. The offense in 2017 was held together with duct tape and good luck. Malik Rosier was not a P5 caliber starter at quarterback but he made a some gutsy plays. The luck ran out in 2018 and the offense got rock bottom when Al Golden’s players weren’t there to carry them anymore.

DISGUSTING

I want to agree. That line is really weird. SMU is significantly worse on the road but FSU is just terrible. This team isn’t as good as last year’s team. Last year they were dropping 70 points and 600 yards against their cupcakes. I’m pretty sure when we played them last year they were a still a top 5 offense statistically. (Mostly due to lighting up two garbage teams and being in a shootout with Virginia). This team struggled to score against one of the worst FBS teams in the country. I just don’t see that explosive potential that they had at least at the beginning of the year last season.
People are missing that fact. Yes, FSU pulled one off against Bama this year, but their roster this year is less talented. Some good skill pieces at WR and RB, but a QB that can’t consistently deliver the ball and a line that can’t effectively run block for them.

I don’t see them beating SMU because the rosters are comparable and Lashlee has the coaching edge over Norvell.

They can hire Herman for prob cheap

Can't believe some of their fans actually think their WR group is on par with ours. Both our #1 and #2 receiver are better than Duce. After that, they have absolutely nobody. Danzy is not even a receiver, he's just a glorified athlete at the WR spot. Boggs is trash.
It was that in several other passions 😂 they said better at wr not equal 😂😂
