Let’s be real, if you’re Duquesne’s coaching staff and you are watching this film, you definitely have this marked as a possible dogfight and win if luck bounces your way. Their players should be easy to get amped up for this. Now, because of their recent history, FSU’s players should be looking at this game as a possible win if a few bounces go their way. They SHOULD be able to get amped up for this game.

What’s their over/under in Vegas? Like 6.5 right? Taking the over there is a huge leap of faith.

There’s maybe two “sure thing wins” on their schedule. Duquesne and Georgia Tech. ULL is a g5 team and their staff is in Gainesville now but they were still 13-1 last year. They are not a roll over win for an FSU team who loses to FCS programs.

The stretch of Louisville, BC and Wake is going to make or break their season. Win 2/3 and a 6 or 7 win season is possible. Lose 2/3 or worse, They’re done and Norvell will be out at the end of the year. I do think this is the first time in a while they have a shot against the gator. It’s not an automatic L for them this year

Yes, DraftKings currently has the total at 6.5, with -135 juice on over and +115 on the under.

FSU was actually a good bit better in 2021 than they were in 2020, but jesus they couldn't have been worse.

They'll be massive favorites against Duquesne, pretty sizeable favorites against Louisiana, and then decent favorites against BC, GT, and probably Wake. I think 6.5 is a pretty decent line for them, but I'm sure as **** not laying -135 on the over. Not a chance in ****. Even if you give them 5-0 vs the 5 teams I mentioned (which is still pretty unlikely), then that means they'd need to go 2-5 or better against:

LSU in Nola
@ Louisville
@ Miami
@ NC State
@ Syracuse
Clemson
Florida

It's doable, but they'd have to have some bounces go their way. And I think 8-4 is probably their absolute ceiling. They are not getting to 9 wins. They're not going 4-3 against the teams above.

The Louisiana game is tricky. Not only because they're one of the better G5 programs (we almost lost to App State last year) but also because it's their second to last game of the year. If they were playing week 1 or 2, I'd chalk up a W. Confidence and morale are usually high to start the year. There's a good chance they roll into the second to last week of the year as a 4 win team. If that's the case, they likely lay down and get rolled by ULL. We've seen it happen here before. It's getting late in another meaningless season, half the team is ready for the off season to start, you come into a game against a team you should be able to handle and the next thing you know, you just lost to FIU. Except this ULL team is much better than the FIU team that upset Miami in 2019.

I think they have a better chance against Syracuse than Wake Forrest. LSU will be interesting only because of BK. LSU has a ton more talent than them.

Can’t disagree with this at all. 100% agree.

Duquesne beat an FBS team (Ohio University) for the first time last year so they've had a taste.

I can’t wait to see the tour that Norvell gives him.

First, Jalen will be greeted by an overexcited coach as the Warchant plays via a cassette tape in someone’s car. At least until the tape gets snared up in the audio system.

Then it will be off to their hallowed outdoor practice field...

After this, Jalen will be escorted by security into the high tech, state of the art training center. There he can see the gains he can look forward to making.

After that, it’s off to the team meeting room. There FSU focuses their players on the challenge facing them on the coming weekend.

Concerns about gastrointestinal noise distractions will be dismissed, as Norvell will declare that the popperi of smells serve to heighten the senses.

Next, he’ll be proudly shown FSU’s state of the art film breakdown. “And when I say film, I don’t actually mean 16mm film,” Norvell’s audio media intern will say. “We’ve upgraded to the finest in analog video quality possible. 480P!”

Following this revelation, Coach will turn to him and ask, “You hungry? I sure am. Let’s go get some fixins!”

Security will then escort Jalen towards the dining hall. And they will be needed. He’ll find it unusual when he sees hungry football players trying to get in, but being told “You can only use your War Card three times a day, within a 8am to 6pm window”

Then the entourage arrives in the dining hall, where he will get to see an unusual spread of food.

Finally, after all this FSU will sit down with the Warchant Collective to discuss future earning potential with this august program. Various revenue streams will be reviewed.

With this incentives now broached, Norvell will turn to Jalen and say, “We have had dozens of five star players walk through these doors and say no. I never could get it. But you Jalen, you have the chance to be first. The one in 1 and 23.

What do you say?”
You forgot the tour of the indoor practice facility.
