Pretty incredible how Florida State wound up with their own version of Al Golden.
Where Miami has always been a revolving door for head coaches, most leaving for better jobs back in the day—Schnelly, JJ, DE and Butch—it was a train-wreck after that; Coker, Shannon, Golden.
Florida State had the consistent Bowden forever. Yes, he backslid his final half decade—but Jimbo came on as the figurehead late in in the Bowden era, making for a seamless transition that earned them a national title within a few years. They thought they had their next 'lifer' and dude bailed for a bigger college check—not even the NFL—which is still pretty incredible.
To go from two coaches that brought national titles—to having to settle on Willie Lump Lump as the program's brand has backslid big time; Miami just better continue capitalizing on Florida State's failures and can't let up. Not after dropping SEVEN IN A ROW to those donkey ****s.
