No silver lining, we are what you saw

Manny is going to try and spin that he's playing the young guys and he just needs more time. Most of us know that's a crock of ****. We are poorly coached in nearly every facet of the game. We can't block, we can't tackle, we are undisciplined, and we play with little edge. That is all a reflection if the coaching and this staff. We lost to a really bad UVA team we should've beat by 3 tds.

No more time is needed or warranted for that matter. Manny will spin it they just need to learn to win, they're close and that's simply false.

There was absolutely a silver lining. If the kicker makes that FG, the schools narrative is "look how Diaz got the team to rally" and he skates through the end of the season. Missing the FG allowed everyone to focus on how the total lack of fundamentals put the team in that position. Diaz might not make it through the weekend. That's quite the silver lining to me

S&C is a major issue , we lack explosive strength anywhere on roster, OL no push up front DL can not set the ege
WR never create separation out of break... Mike Farrel of 24-7 sports commented after bama game typical Miami skill players no explosion...... we have not had explosive strength since B.Davis S&C guy Moffett left.
correct we are lousy tacklers but S&C is and has been a concern.....
And look what happened when he left Tennessee to come to Miami. Then look at what he did with LSU in a matter of years.

I look at our team and we look like kids out there. we are a small extremely undersized team at almost every position which might explain the tackling issues. Every team we play look bigger and stronger across the board. I feel like alot of the south Florida high school kids are overrated lately.
And we play like a high school team. Div 2 at best.

Silver lining is that the froshpeoples looked got time and looked good. It's something to sell recruits that there will be plenty of reps to be had if you're good enough.

In that respect I agree, my point was Manny looking for moral victories. There were none.

But look at what it took to get most of them on the field. And we are still trotting 44 out before the young guys.

I’m glad more & more ppl r starting to jump on the S&C bandwagon. I’ve called out Feeley from Day 1. I have serious reservations as to what these boys r doing. They keep showing these photos showing “body transformations” which is cool, but looking like a body builder is not the same as football, functional strength.
-I continually see guys get smoked when they have angles, and we get zero push in the trench even on blitz.
-Breaking tackles & tackling is abysmal unless it’s gang tackling w/ 4 ppl piling on.

The chit is horrible.

Our tackling is at a bad hs football team level. It’s grotesque.

Baloney! A well coached team and the benching of a half dozen kids and we are 4-1.

So you are expecting Manny to use that as his spin job? He's had the ability to bench 44 for almost 1.5 seasons and he is still out there missing tackles and running a 5.4 forty.

To paraphrase a classic VP debate line, “I knew Howard, I served with Howard, Howard was a friend of mine. You, sir, are no Howard.”
One of the great all time debate zingers.

Quayle walked into that rake, then stumbled back over it.

Here we go.

Now Miami's roster is filled with slow and weak midgets.

Again.

What? Did you miss the part about a well-coached team? At point in Diaz's tenure has Miami been well-coached? You should infer Miami is 4-1 with a competent staff.

Exactly, Roberts and Taylor did not snift the field against Alabama. Brashard Smith and Brinson are explosive. There is enough on this roster to have at least been competitive and 4-1 if we did not have the most incompetent HC and staff in the P5.

I’m really confused. Did you agree with the original post? Am I alluding to something different?
