Yeah but how many of those produce? Other than Julio Jones and Mark Ingram who of those have been real difference makers? I'm probably just hating right now but most of them get drafted and do next to nothing.

What's so funny about all the teams ahead of us is. After draft day you rarely if ever hear about them again unless it's in regards to busts or trades.

I suppose one factor is that linemen, on both sides of the ball, and linebackers are a significant slice of a roster. While Miami has produced some quality players, it has never been a producer of large numbers in these position groups.

mark ingram is not and has NEVER been a difference maker.

Seriously that guy is the only starting running back I've seen get less carries then the backup. He only starts bc he's a good pass blocker and they pass on majority of their snaps

Ok well I meant to say he's probably the 2nd most successful Alabama player in the NFL right now behind Julio. He's by no means a difference maker.

Butch's guy are mostly retired now. Now that we are back to Miami defense and have Miami level QB the numbers will change. Our players will be able to show who they are and the recruiting will pick up huge, especially local.

Doubt it matters as long as they get drafted.. all those Bama players got drafted which is what kids want.. "I want to play in the nfl" is usually what you hear them say in those recruiting service interviews

People tend to forget just how bad Randy was at talent evaluation and development. There's a reason we went years without a first rounder. It's his players that should be in the NFL right now, with Golden's following, starting with the last couple drafts. Richt will certainly recruit well, and develop talent better than the last three coaches combined. I expect him to develop Golden's players well enough to get MANY of them drafted.

The last three coaches were bad and couldn't maintain the talent level.

15th isn't bad and is higher than I would have actually expected even lower. It's not like we've been the 15th best team over the last decade- we've been far worse than that. Hopefully we'll be higher than 15th soon though.
