No Raymond

So much talk about unprecedented financial support for filling out the staff, but aside from Kuligowski the results have been pretty familiar.

Another fallback option's coming.

DB coach will more than likely be Willie Martinez. Doesn't matter that Richt fired him before. He's running out of options. $EC has more money. Keeps outbidding us.

Well who's up...

Ward... Martinez.... Someone mentioned UK's Derrick Ansley?

Would you retain Hurley to be the DB coach?

Why do u write JC at the end of all of your posts? Your name is right beside every post. Just wondering.

From many accounts at Georgia Brown was a beast.

LSU's ensuring that they'll retain an outstanding DB coach after sparing no expense to land their top DC target. Good for them.

If anyone recommends Martinez or Rumph for DB coach, slap yourself in the face before porsting.

We're running out of choices.

This is an overly pessimistic view. The results are actually not "pretty familiar" for Miami. This coaching search, from HC to the picking of the assistants, has been markedly different than the last three searches. The university has shown the willingness to spend money and I can confidently say, for the first time, that the coaching staff is a significant improvement over the prior staff, both with the actual hires and the prior coaches that were let go. So no, the results are not pretty familiar.

The real question is whether this coaching staff is national title capable which should always be Miami's standard. This point is certainly debatable (I have my concerns), but the results of this coaching hiring/firing certainly are not like the past three fiascos.

Final point: how do you, me or anyone know that Raymond was the top choice? People make such definitive statements but I've never seen anything to indicate this other than rumored mutual interest.

You do realize Miles will probably be fired if they dont win SEC West next year and they have to grossly overpay to hire assistants. They are giving multi year contracts with monster raises to keep and hire people. Money talks with these assistant coaches. FYI, Aranda leaves in 2 years for HC spot.
